Pair with Mirran Crusader. Double strike gives you 2 cards for each attack with protection against all those zombie and vamp decks.
Glech, yes, apparently the abilities do stack, so each card would get the triggered draw ability twice. Play an Artful Dodge or Ghostform to make them unblockable, attack with both, and you can draw 4 cards.

So now that RtR is pretty much out and about, I was looking for something new to do with most of my red stuff... I pulled a bunch of izzet rares at the prerelease and then i found this card and i was like, whoa...
Also, this card gives me a new hope for my vexing devil, which has needed a boost since coming out of my sacrifice deck that was 70% scars of mirrodin. Just bond vexing devil to the lookout and if a person takes the 4dmg, you draw a card as you sac the devil then the lookout is ready to bond to something else.
@alphagprime: When the creature with an enters the battlefield ability enters the battlefield, if Tandem Lookout is not currently paired with a creature, both abilities are triggered. You may stack them in the order of your choosing. So put the Soulbond ability on top. Problem solved.

Goes alone nicely with new favorites like guttersnipe and lobber crew, hypersonic dragon and niv-mizzet, dracogenius too. It goes really well with the new niv-mizzet actually, its like these two were made for eachother!

I have a question though, how does his ability work with "enters the battlefield" effects such as the ones on Sparkmage Apprentice, Blisterstick Shaman, and Kessig Malcontents?
