Apparently this was printed 3 times as a common in the same set.
So, you can have 12 copies in a deck.
Whatever you can make a judge believe is legal.
Theres also a black creature that the rules say is red.

@ Henrietta - what's stupider than many of these comments is the fact that the M:tG community actually rated this thing higher than 1 star. Astonishing. I like the way they often used Drew Tucker's art for the worst, most pointless cards out there, though. Other than his version of Plateau (from the Alpha/Beta/Unlimited set), his pictures either look like a poor man's Picasso, or like someone sneezed all over a canvas.
Oh, and check out my little comments on the 1st version of this card. :-)

Wonderfully pointless - and look how many lines of text they took up to do it.
This card basically says: "Take 3 damage when it comes into play. If this bum survives until your next upkeep, you can get that life back... if it lives longer, you might get 1 life per turn if this crud card survives until your next upkeep." Against any deck with creature kill, this thing is often a Bolt to your own face, and even if it does live, it's not worth it. The sacrifice only during your upkeep part is really what kills this card, IMHO.
