This is just an epic card. For any color tribal deck this works....It is a booster and its colorless. I love it...elves...soldiers...knights...beasts...snakes...faries...you name it, it works. 5/5

Seriously, though he's the lord of everything. Works in any tribal deck as either a substitute to a nonexistent lord or as a supplement to another lord. Works in any creature deck. He even buffs other copies of himself, so he could be the only creature you have in a spell-heavy deck.

@TheSwarm, that's true by definition: Any tribe that doesn't have a lord is, by virtue of that fact, not very good. But this might make some tribes good that weren't before.
If nothing else, Rebels don't have anything like this. And Allies don't have an unconditional lord, either (though they have several things that can take the place of one).
What good tribal decks don't have a lord? Elves, Archdruid. Goblins, Chieftain. Knights, Exemplar. The fact is this card has very little synergy with tribal decks, and the ones it does have are far worse than cards that already exist within the actual tribe. Just... I don't think it deserves the current 5 star rating it has. at All. And all this talk of making tribes like "Human Tribal" Is just silly. Even zombies and ILLUSIONS have a lord in standard now. Seriously, it just does not have any practical uses, it rots a card spot. And it doesn't even make tribes like "Squirrel Tribal" Work, it just gives them plus one plus one, there still aren't aany synergies between squirrel tokens, you can play gaea's anthem and that is much harder to remove. In rebels, you can play like Honor of the Pure and its going to be better than this card.
Now, if we get a mythic rare turtle card I will make a turtle tribal deck and be happy for the rest of my life!

Well, for tribes like elves, goblins, zombies, soldiers, merfolks, etc... you will find much better lords since this one just gives you P\T boost and nothing else and then has close to no synergy with chosen tribe (see Merfolk Sovereign, Elvish Archdruid or even Joraga Treespeaker and Joraga Warcaller). On the other hand, this enables to build more... "exotic" tribal decks, like spiders, cats, wurms, clerics (well... depends on what format are you going to play), etc... Nice addition, but I would be disappointed having it as a rare in my M12 booster.
I love the versatility of this card, and I'm even happier that Wizards didn't make him basically a "strictly better" lord.
This guy is a lord to any tribe, but most tribal lords give +1/+1 and have some ability (Goblin Chieftain's haste-giving, Cemetery Reaper's token-making, etc.)
So, while you CAN put him in tribal decks, and you SHOULD put him in tribal decks, he doesn't completely overshadow already-made lords.

I would have prefered if he was every creature type while not on the battlefield, or if you could choose his type before starting a game if he's in your deck. Or if you could choose between the +1/+1 boost or cost reduction.
Don't get me wrong, this is a decent gift Wizards gave us so we have a lord for any tribe wanted.
But you could also call him Captain Ersatz.
If you got a lord for your tribe, that one will likely be preferable to this guy since he gives a second bonus. Being colorless can be advantageous in some cases, but as an artifact it's also an easier target for removal.

I plan on using this card in, ironically enough, a Construct deck. The closest thing they had to a Lord before was Steel Overseer. A playset of both with Triskelions and Solarions and you could have a pretty vicious colorless aggro deck you could easily add combos to.

Adaptive Automation + Embrace of Shiv = A true dragon AA + Eldrazi Consciption = A man-made colorless, 12/12 Eldrazi Construct Lord / what has science done, etc. AA + Angelic Destiny = Well, it's kind of redundant, but now it's a double angel or something AA + Specter's shroud + something that gives it flying = A typical Specter...construct. that sounds just too cool. AA + Exoskeletal Armor = Ach! Hans, Run! It's the Adaptive Automaton! AA...you know what, zombies don't have characteristic abilities, and I don't know what you're doing not using the ACTUAL zombie lords. AA + Guard Duty = All hail the mighty wall tribe! AA + Skeletal Grimace = A pretty useful skeleton lord with cheap regenerate And many more like this! I just can't stand for my adaptive automaton to actually not have the abilities that it should!

Perfect for my blue/green snake tribal. I didn't like any of the snakes from Kamigawa, including the lords. Seshiro cost too much mana, didn't fit my curve, and sosuke felt like a wasted ability since i have no warriors in my deck, and cost 1 more than this and gave less toughness. this works perfectly though. 3 mana is right on, (and all colorless, better in a multicolored deck).

Seriously, though he's the lord of everything. Works in any tribal deck as either a substitute to a nonexistent lord or as a supplement to another lord. Works in any creature deck. He even buffs other copies of himself, so he could be the only creature you have in a spell-heavy deck.
If nothing else, Rebels don't have anything like this. And Allies don't have an unconditional lord, either (though they have several things that can take the place of one).
Oh, and this also brings us four steps closer to being able to make a Relentless Rats deck entirely out of Elves. This plus Elvish Archdruid, Imperious Perfect, Joraga Warcaller, and Elvish Champion is 20 deck slots for what are functionally Rats.

when it enters the battle field it just give the creature +1/+1 and it doesnt get thet it self so it will still be a 2/2 construct,
so in stead of such loyalty can only be made
