In response to eggroll: The idea is to drop this on turn one then drop kor duelist and equip him or cast Kor Outfitter and let it auto equip
Amazing in limited. If Kor equipment decks ever turn out to be good, this will definitely find a place in constructed.

3 to play/equip seems less than ideal, but it's decent enough. For most purposes I prefer Bonesplitter. By the way, it's the equipment version of UNholy Strength, not Holy Strength. ;)

Love it. The fact that you can equip it instantly is the best thing about it. For 2 mana you can quickly boost up a creature with +2/+1. And then move it to another creature as needed.

So the whole 2 equip cost for the unholy strength pump isn't THAT awesome, but it's still fairly solid to use some useless mana otherwise. The name and artwork on this is also one of the best.

The machete is good because of how cheap it is. Equipment turns your average creatures into threats, often enabling you to trade your weaker creatures for their better creatures.
Very solid card, nothing amazing about it though. Usually 1st pick in draft

I like how it increases toughness too, as if just holding it turns you into a grizzled badass.
Dear Wizards, Please reprint this at common in a core set. I understand why 'living weapons' piloted by sentient germs would be uncommon in the world. But this is a knife. Knives are not hard to find.

I never realized how good this was until it rotated out of standard. It would fit so perfectly into my Khemba deck right next to Puresteel. Such a simple card, but so so solid. Little late for this getting into M11 now but I'm hoping for M13 (when Scars will already have rotated :( ).
This is probably my favorite card ever printed. If you put it on a thing, it's generally pretty good. It's not warping, it doesn't make any strategy bad, it's powerful, but, not opressive. This card is good in so many ways I cannot describe. You get so much value out of it. Put it on any double striker ever and it becomes an unstoppable badass, put it on an infect creature and you put your opponent on a fast clock, put it on a 1/1 flier and it becomes a flipped delver of secrets, put it on like a 6/6 trampler to sneak in the last points of damage or to make it go over the top of everything, even just putting it on a vanilla 1/1 ground pounding token to trade up is straight value. Is there anything this card doesn't do? You can play a 1 drop 2 drop this equip or you can play 1 drop 1 drop this go equip, it fits in nearly every creature deck. I really have almost no excuse for playing it though, which is a bit saddening. Come on wizards, this would be a sweet reprint. :\ This works well w/ so many mechanics. Affinity for Artifacts, Double Strike, First Strike, Lifelink, Trample, Flying, Infect, Wither, PRETTY MUCH ANY FRENCH VANILLA CREATURE EVER. Makes so many completely janky aggro decks semi-playable.
Words of advice: Keep this as far away from the Unliving Psychopath as you possibly can.

After reading this comment, I was left scratching my head, but I continued to read in case there was a reply to this. HOW is this an instantly equipable item? Am I blind? Equip by definition is at sorcery speed. Just because there is no reminder text does not change that fact. I mean, if there was some given interation between another card that was implied, I am sorry, but this card in and of its own cannot be instantly equiped to anything.
