for what it does it's the best that there ever could be. does that mean it's worth playing with? well, that may be a different story.

Pretty awesome as a blocker, whether hes in a Infect deck or not. Not only can he regenerate from blocking, but he downsizes the attacker.

Pretty nice looking card. My only 2 complaints is that it only deals one damage, and that regenerate costs 2 mana rather than 1 mana.

looks good on paper, but it's hard to keep 2 mana open to regen this guy if you want to keep playing spells.

Well, I am not saying this isn't a good creature, but in my opinion, it certainly isn't a River Boa. Infect and Regenerate are both good abilities, however as has been pointed out, often times with an early drop you will not have the mana remaining to regenerate the Blight Mamba at which especially in the earlu turns of a game, you will have to either keep the mana open to regenerate or use it to cast other spells and this may slow you down a bit too much.
Aside from that, it has one toughness, in a limited environment that is riddled with spells and permanents either bestowing -1/-1 until end of turn or permanently placing -1/-1 counters. So again, I really doubt that this creature is going to stick around for all that long.
It is pretty good, but that regeneration cost is bit too restricting early in the game, and it sucks if your opponent got infect too. So it isn't too great either.

imo its a horrible card. so u have a regenerating infector at t2. at best u have a giant growth at t3... personally im not waiting till turn 4 to drop another 2cmc infector (2 to let u regen) go Necropede!! cant remember how many times ive taken 2 cards with it.

Awesome, awesome card. I beat a friend on turn five using this, a Colossal Might, and a Soul's Fire, effectively nailing him with ten poison counters in a single combat phase. He never saw it coming, and I don't think he'll ever forgive me.

And now, the Yo Mamba jokes:
Yo Mamba so Fat, it takes two turns to phase out.
Yo Mamba so ugly, it regenerated ...and it was still ugly.
Yo Mamba so dumb, it tried to put a -1/-1 counter on Fog.
Livewire Lash, this nice creature, and Rebound can win you a game very quickly. I'm looking forward to this expansion's combinations. Which reminds me...
Yo Mamba so Fat, when it rotated out of Standard, it rotated out of Standard.

This card wants to be played in more defensive long-term poison decks but green infect in general wants it to fill a gap in its aggro infect decks. Torn between two worlds can blight mamba ever find peace? And what small green infect creature will we get next set?
No excuses NOT to love the blight mamba. It's friendly, Phyrexian, AND it wins games for you!

Yo Mamba's so fat, it needs a passport just to tap! Yo Mamba's so ugly, it sent Jace, The Mind Sculptor back to its owner's hand! Yo Mamba's so dumb, it regenerated in response to a Twitch! ...... Sorry for lack of originality, but we need to make a webpage for some of these or something.

It's venom drips with Phyrexia's hate? I thought that venom was the thing dripping. Hard to imagine hate dripping off of venom...
Or maybe they're dripping together?

A good infect guy that wins games at best, and blocks grounders at worst.
As an aside, I love the venom dripping from so many Phyrexians. Reminds me vaguely of rabies.

I know everybody loves Blight Mamba, and I do too it is a really cool card....but I feel like it could have been a GREAT card. I played this back at a pre-release and the whole time I was kinda edging out a win, but the Blight Mamba's cost and regeneration thereafter were hurting me for mana at key times. I think if the CC or the regeneration cost 1 then Blight Mamba would have been this Rancor status uncommon for all eternity! But honestly over time especially if the Proliferate or Infect abilities are ever revisited, Blight Mamba will be edged out in a 60 card infect deck by a better card. Maybe I'm way wrong, its just how I feel about it.

For an unreliable but fun when it works casual deck, add four Blight Mambas, four graveyard recovery spells, and seven playsets of your choice of Giant Growth effects. Shake well :D
