it has a cool effect, especially if you have some weak, low cost spells to play.

This card reminds me of my old UG Herd Gnarr deck I used to have. It worked by attacking with a Herd Gnarr that was pumped by repeatedly playing Shrieking Drake. This card is way better, though, because you can equip it to a creature that already has trample or other useful evasion, then sink U into the drake to pump it. I guess Leering Emblem was designed with cascade in mind, though.

Perhaps something like Gloryscale Viashino with Leering Emblem attacks after a Violent Outburst cascades into a Colossal Might. It looks like you are attacking with a 3/3 creature, but then hit them with the combat trick to turn him into a 18/15 trampler. Pray for no removal though.

Theres that U to cast flying enchantment that you can bounce to you hand.
Coupled with the "whenever you cast an enchantment put a +1+1 counter on all your creatures", and a few other drawing/enchantment/life-gaining loving combo cards and you have a few very huge creatures for almost no mana.

I always hav been fond of using Grinning Ignus for red storm, and it seems like that would work well for this card as well, in addition giving a +2 temporary manaboost if the card is already in play when the turn started.

There's got to be a way to break this in a Storm deck, equipping Dark Confidant or a Tombstalker or something... to kill, you need the same number of spells as Tendrils of Agony, but they could be spread over multiple turns, attacking for 12 one turn and 8 the next...

Ah well, I thought the same thing about Storm Entity. Combining the two seems like it should have potential, but...
