"A creature you play on turn two should not be able to tap for 3 mana on turn 3"
Priest of Titania?
Turn 1, llanowar elf
Turn 2, Priest of titania + random 1/1
Turn 3 = 7 mana... if you use your forests to play 3 more 1/1s (this would use every card in your hand, but its possible).. then titania + llanowar tap for 7 MORE mana and suddenly you have 6 1/1s and a big fatty! Youll have nothing else to cast, but I'm just saying there are better cards out there, so don't bag on this guy too much.
TBH noone should bag on anything pre Zendikar anymore. That entire set has redefined the term "broken", then drop kicked it out of the park, went out into the parking lot and ran it over with their car.

First turn - Forest, Llanowar Elves. Alright... that's not too bad.
Second turn - Tap both for Priest of Titania; play Gaea's Cradle, tap for Rofellos. Hrmmm....
Third turn - A second forest means access to 11 mana. Wait, what?
What are you even going to do with that much mana? Play a Joraga Warcaller with 5 kickers? Follow up with an Immaculate Magistrate and a couple Imperious Perfects? Having fun yet?

I always debate whether this or natural order is the best card in my mono green deck. I'm thinking natty o, but this is just an essential for mono green. Turn 1: forest, Joraga Treespeaker, turn 2: forest, level up joraga, put rofellos in w. joraga. Turn 3: forest, tap rofellos joraga, and you have 8 mana in the pool. T3 Khalni Hydra, with 2 mana to spare.

You guys are using this card all wrong. If you are running mono green there is no way you shouldn't get a Verdant Force out on turn two in the best case. And be more than unpleasant for your opponent in the average case.
Forest + Elvish Spirit Guide = Gaea's Touch Play an extra Forest sac Gaea's Touch to play another Gaea's Touch Play and extra Forest Tap two forests to play Rofellos
Turn two Rofellos + Three Forests + sac Gaea's Touch = Verdant Force.
For those asking why they printed this in the first place. There was a time in this game when you had to pay more attention to what you were doing and plan ahead. Since they've gotten rid of mana burn this card has become a no-brainer. It didn't used to be that way. It could backfire on you big time if you tapped for a ton then the target for your mana died. Ooopps that's 10 damage from mana, thanks Rofellos.

Turn One, Forest+Joraga Treespeaker. Turn Two, Forest+ Gaea's Touch into another forest, Sacrifice Gaea's Touch, level Joraga Treespeaker, tap for Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, use the last mana for Instill Energy. Now that may be 7 cards already but 11 mana on turn 2 with 6 still available for whatever those 1 or 2 cards you have left are is not too bad, but as long as I'm indulging in this pipe dream let's say you play a Harmonize for draw and then plonk down a Priest of Titania with the remaining 2 mana. Now you not only have 1 or 2 cards STILL remaining but you have 14 mana by the end of turn two...that's silly; now to finish off this dream let's say your remaining two cards (you went second) are a forest and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn; put down the forest (now you have 16 mana turn 3 without tapping anything) and play Emrakul, but not before you spend that one mana on an Essence Warden that you drew this turn :) Turn 3 Emrakul without any banned cards is nothing to scoff at and I'm sure you could make a more ridiculous combo. This card might be ok.
Ive got a card that doubles the ammoun of mana generated. put 4 of both in a green deck and uve just solved the posibility of being mana screwd

On your third turn, you destroy 3 permanents, then force them to sacrifice all their colored permanents (of which you gain control!), then take three extra turns with a board position that includes Annihilator 17 and 191 damage from your Eldrazi alone, not to mention all the colored permanents they used to control. @Ragamander: Oh jeeze that's hilarious! And it got me thinking. You can totally do this on turn two without having to put in any cheeky cards that aren't good for anything but the combo, but only if you're on the draw, or playing multiplayer (or otherwise have 10 cards in hand), though it abuses an infinite combo if you don't like that sort of thing, because Rofellos plus equipment that untaps him (Umbral Mantle, Sword of the Paruns) is totally broke:
T1: Draw a card for the turn, Play Forest, cast Exploration, play another Forest, cast Concordant Crossroads. (Cards remaining = 4) T2: Draw a card for the turn, play 2x Forest, cast Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, then tap him and cast Umbral Mantle for , floating , then equip the mantle to Rofellos for , and tap the remaining 2 Forests and use the floating mana to activate its ability. Then tap and untap Rofellos, and tap and untap, and tap and untap... until you have an essentially infinite amount of green mana, and a hasty Rofellos with essentially inifinite power and toughness. With your remaining card, cast Spawnsire of Ulamog and activate its ultimate ability to dump your Eldrazi tub on the table as you so elegantly laid out in the rest of that comment.
I know this and much much worse is possible turn one as well, but not with an Azusa deck (what I'm looking into now for EDH), it'd need to be a specially engineered turn one win deck. If someone can figure this out on turn one with a proper Azusa EDH deck (commander legal cards), I'd love to see it.
