a good finisher if you have a deck that can create a bunch of tokens. and being a changeling, this card suits nicely in any tribal deck that accomplished that demand.

Fun if your opponent controls it and you Mindslaver him, to use the changeling to turn all his creatures into 0/0 dorks killing them (though most likely the opponent would do that in response to the mindslaver).

great combo card, but the best thing about this ugly guy is: he is very handy in almost every situation und deck you can play him with.
if you have 5 mana to spend for example and 3-4 creatures, than you can block very efficiently and beat your opponent to a pulp next round.
won many matches for me

Best used with token decks. Consider Coat of Arms too.

Does Mirror Entity's X/X ability override +1/+1 counters?
klaff
★★★★☆ (4.0/5.0)(1 vote)
@betafury: No, things that set power/toughness are applied in timestamp, then any buffs/nerfs applied in the next layers. It does not override +1/+1 counters, effects, or until end of turn buffs.

Can do mega damage with Silvers because Silvers are usally between 1/1 and 3/3 but for 5 mana there all 5/5's this is amazing.

3 mana! Gotta be a mistake, this guy should be at least 8 mana, he is a beast, especially in token decks. It also seems like more of a blue card than white.

As a twist on token decks, how about a W/B token deck with a win condition of using this to give all creature types to a bunch of tokens (only spending 1 or 2 for X), then dropping a Malakir Bloodwitch?

I looked this card up on Trollandtoad expecting it to be a thirty dollar card or something, this card is amazing. I use it in a rebel deck, Defiant Falcon or any of the twelve cards that do the same. Grab this, grab Zealot il-Vec. Get yourself a badass practically unblockable. Mix with Cloudpost, Vesuva (if you really want to *** people off), or Lifelink and just tap out every turn.
It's not even a tap ability, so you can use it immediately, won't be as powerful since you've used your mana already, but you'll be able to turn that 1/1 into something stronger probably.

I thought about that too, since traditional rebel decks uses Gaea's Cradle, the more creature you summon the more mana you get and more powerful the army would become.
I run this in W/G saprolings, when combined with Sporesower Thalid and Sporoloth Ancient all of your saprolings make saprolings. plus with the x cost they can get to 6 or 7 power and toughness each at that point.

Combo's great with Bazaar Trader. Trigger the ability for X = 0, then use Bazaar Trader's ability on the stack on top of it to give it to your opponent. The trade will resolve, giving it to your opponent, then it's ability will resolve, turning all of your opponent's creatures into 0/0, wiping them off the board instantly.

Okay, so you have this, the Myr Galvanizer/Palladium Myr combo, except with an extra myr of your choice, plus a Screeching Sliver. Pay , so everything r slivers, tap the Screeching Sliver, followed by Palladium Myr and Myr Galvanizer, so you net they mill 1 and you gain 1 mana, then rinse and repeat for infinite mana with a side of infinite milling! If you wanna stay in color, though, use Xenograft

Deathwoes: That's precisely wrong. Basically, what you're doing there is putting an effect on the stack that kills all your creatures. Giving it away won't remove the effect from the stack.

Love him in my rebel deck. The look on an opponent's face when I tutor him out at the end of their turn and then swing with a ton of 4/4, 5/5 or bigger rebels is priceless. Works great with Training Grounds for that purpose, because you can declare x to be 5, and then you only have to pay 3, for example. Also, works well with Peer Pressure to steal any one (or more) of your opponent's creatures as long as you have more creatures out than they do.

Shame it's only your creatures, otherwise I'd call it "Wrath of Jellymoose."
I love to use this guy in a WU infect deck! Blighted Agent becomes completly insane once this creepy alien hits the table! As long as you don't miss a land drop this is an easy 5th round win even if you get no other nasty creatures into play. Round 1: Island Round 2: Plains, play Blighted Agent Round 3: any land, swing for 1 infect, play Mirror Entity (opponent at 1 poison) Round 4: any land, activate entity for 4, swing for 4 infect (opponent at 5 poison) Round 5: any land, activate entity for 5, swing for 5 infect (opponent at 10 poison)

I *love* the tribal shenanigans that this guy offers. Firstly, he can theoretically go in any Wx tribal deck, becoming a pseudo-lord in that he can pump the base P/T of your creatures for some massive damage. Then, he can create multi-tribal shenanigans by changing creature types. I've built a Bant 'every-tribe' deck, which uses him as an ideal lynchpin - essentially, depending on what tribal buffers you have out, you can get flying, lifelinking, shrouded, indestructible, unblockable creatures that make tokens and draw cards whenever they hit the opponent in the face (hint: slivers offer a lot of those).
And do you have any idea how hard it is for players to stop aformentioned creatures, given that 2 tribal lords (or a single pump sliver) means you can activated Mirror Entity for 0 and have all your creatures live?

One of the most powerful white creatures in the game, if not the most. It is easily better than Baneslayer Angel, and I'm completely serious about that. Unlike the baneslayer, Cateran Summons can tutor for Mirror Entity and put it into your hand for 1 mana. Rebel fetchers can get it also. If you Doom Blade it, I can just play Sun Titan and bring it back.
Absolutely ridiculous card.

This card is a really powerful Spike and Johnny card. It is currently the finisher in a couple of my decks. My favorite is a Blue-White fishless fish deck where it can suddenly turn cheap blue fliers into nasty forces to be reckoned with. But I just had my best ever play with it...it was in the early game - I had out an Aether Vial which I left at two counters. I was in good position, controlling the game with five 1/1 or 2/1 creatures doing damage each turn.
I had tapped out all except one plains, and my opponent saw this as an opportunity to accelerate into a Bogardan Hellkite which would have caved the roof in on me. Oh man, the look on his face when I activated Mirror Entity with X=1, effectively converting all my creatures into Faeries, then tapped the Vial to put a Spellstutter Sprite into play, countering the Hellkite...
