Well, it buffs creatures which are smaller than 3/3, and weakens those which are bigger (and changes their creature type). A pity the targeted creatures keep their abilities.

Saw this card for the first time today and could hardly stop laughing. This is so funny to me, it might just be the one more reason I needed to make a blue and green deck.

it sucks because it makes frogs... who plays frogs?

There is a reason why this frog is in the Simic guild, it gives all graft creatures +3/+3 until end of turn effectively. It would have been nice if he had toughness 4 to block dead every generic groundforce without counters, auras or equipments attached. But eventually he will have his grafting friends around to help him out, one good turn deserves another.

The best use for this would be in a....ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.

Very cool frog, he can be used to maneuver around creature types, or shrink Autochthon Wurm down to a squashable size... I think the primary creature type for green in the next expansion should be frogs! Or frog people! It'll be a breath of fresh air from elves

Why people post that the creature targeted keeps their abilities? if it is turning the targeted creature into a new creature that's 3/3 Frog...
When an effect just change the type or the power/toughness it use the word "is" like Aven Mimeomancer.
so if I use omnibian on vigean hydropon, this become a 8/8 Frog, no more no less tha's able to attack or block.

What amazes me is that the creature turns into one STRONG frog. I mean, 3/3? Geez, snakes are 1/1 and wolves are 2/2. Freaking ELEPHANTS are 3/3.

This means, in the world of magic, frogs are as strong as elephants.

This fella is pretty amazing, turning your opponents big beaters weaker is very nice and he can make Simic 0/0 counter creatures stronger, and it is an awesome frog. I think the rating should be a 4 ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD. A 5. A rating of four will go to the wooping terrier instead. CLAP CLAP CLAP.

@LokiGodofChaos you=win

Man this is terrible it should be rated like 1/2 or some--ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD. *Rates it 5 stars.*

Seriously, though, this is a great card. :D 5/5

It should've been "T: Target creature becomes a copy of Omibian." Much more fun that way.

combine with Steely Resolve for some frog shenanigans... it becomes exceptionally hard to deal with and can effectively "counter" lots of removal and creature enchants just by tapping
plus it might just be the coolest card ever

@Talizmelf - that's because it DOES keep its abilities. If Omnibian uses its ability on Vigean Hydropod, it beceoms an 8/8 that can't attack or block.

The reason Aven Mimeomancer says is rather than becomes is because its a static ability that applies on all turns (as long as Mimeomancer stays around on the battlefield, thus supplying the ability). Omnibian needs to keep changing the target creature/s each time it uses its activated ability, and thus it uses "becomes".

If something wants to remove abilities, it's worded like Snakeform: Target creature loses all abilities and becomes a 1/1 green Snake until end of turn. Also note how it says becomes? =)

Might be fun with Protean Hydra, as it would make it immune to damage each time this taps.

The next stage of Hypnotoad's evolution, not only does it bend all creatures to its will but it actually turns them into-- ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD. RIBBIT.

I adore this card in every way, my only complaint is it's type. Plaxcaster Frogling gets to be a "Frog Mutant" and THIS just gets frog?? MORE GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD KAY THANKS.

Incredibly awesome in multiplayer. Your opponents always have to consider the threat of one of their creatures suddenl becoming a 3/3 frog in the middle of comba - ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
And it doesn't really need to be a 4/4. Afterall, it's a Simic frog, so you can easily graft a +1/+1 it counter into it so it survives blocking.

Would be scarier if it removed abilities or turned them into copies of itself, but that's missing the point. It's meant to beef up 0/0 Simic creatures. Of course, there's nothing wrong with turning an incoming Blightsteel Colossus into a 3/3...

There are a couple of these in my frogs and snakes deck. It's more of a sideshow than the main event, though, with Lorescale Coatl kicking around. Frogs take defence. Never disappointed to see Omnibian. Frogs for everyone! 5/5

The flavor text reminds me of the doctor who episode midnight, making it pretty creepy.
Alons-y!
