One of the better green enchant creatures for added beefiness. I like that they brought back the Urza's Saga art for 10th.

This card is insanely powerful. In a deck that features trample and/or landfall, this spell can kill you in a single turn. I try to obliterate this thing at the first given opportunity.

Well Oakenform is better in a 5 color deck... sometimes... but it will never pwn like this thing does.

Works good with Molimo, Maro-Sorcerer or Uktabi Wildcats. Powerfull and easy combinations.

Unfortunately replaced by Armored Ascension and Oakenform in M10. This card is a staple in mono-green decks and powerful enough to make the aura drawback seem worthwhile. Try enchanting a Silhana Ledgewalker with this and you will have a very difficilt creature to deal with. If they do bring it back, considering the plains version has flying, I don't think adding trample would be too big of an ask.

Where is that flavor text coming from? It's not on this card or any of the other editions.

adding trample, are you insane? This is too powerful in a monogreen deck as it is, it can turn any creature into a´n incredibly strong monster for 3cmc, and it just gets stronger as the game progresses and you get more forests, especially with all green's land accel.

Adding trample would literaly be an instant game ender in mono green decks.

First green got this, and it was good. Then white got Armored Ascension, and it was ok. Then red got Claws of Valakut, clearly the strongest one out of all of them. First strike almost negates the need for extra toughness.
But those colors don't have troll shroud creatures like Troll Ascetic and Thrun the Last Troll

DacenOctavio I have seen all them in action before and Armored Ascension seemed to win the most games fallowed by Blanchwood Armor and Claws of Valakut seemed to be the worst.

Silhana Ledgewalker Very convenient since they flow into each other so well.

@achilleselbow:
You will get that flavor text if you get a foil of this card. The foil has no reminder text either, to make room for the flavor text.

have a wierd thing with my blanchwood armor card.
First of all it has the flavor text but is not holo like divine_exodus said
and the card set is a M in a siver cercal, so it is not one of the set it's included in the gatherer.
Any ideas what I have?

LordofBunnyz, you have the Duels of the Planeswalkers version. Probably out of the Garruk deck, I'd guess.
this is +1/+1 for each forest you control, which in a mono-green deck, is usually 3 or more when you play this.
oakenform is +3/+3 no matter what your lands are.
this is better in mono-green, oaken is better in multi-colored decks, where not all of your lands may be forests, maybe none if you're running colorless mana ramp (myrs)

Foil versions of Tenth Edition cards don't have reminder text. Instead, flavor text is added to take its place. You'll see some other cards from Tenth Ed. where the image doesn't show the flavor text. AFAIK this only happened on Tenth Ed. cards.

Oh how opponents loathe seeing this thing slapped onto a Treetop Scout. Follow with Lightning Greaves and you're golden.
I run four of these in my mono green timmy deck. My favorite targets? gaea's liege as a HUGE blocker, and thorn elementa as my big attacker. I've used gaea's liege to block a mossbridge troll with it's big ability activated and killed it. Heehee.

Has a reputation for being one of the "Top 10 Enchantment-Aura (enchant creature) cards" in magic*. I am not really a convert. It doesn't grant trample, meaning every Typhoid Rat , Sedge Scorpion , Wastland Viper, is waiting to make someone their ***. Now you lost two cards instead of one. Ouch. There is something to be said for playing this on a hasty green guy, but still, meh. It's only a couple of mana short of an Overrun (or overrun clone).

Such a great 3 drop that can turn just about anyone into a fatty, I think its fine without the trample though. If you really wanted to, nobody is stopping you from playing Rancor as well.

I wish they had continued Tenth Edition's brilliant precedent of replacing reminder text with flavor text on foil cards.

This has nearly won me matches, where I put it on early on an unsuspecting creature, they target the big guys, mana ramp, and that guy's now big. Very nice card.

These are in no particular order. Also, they have garnered at least 4 star ratings.
I like that they brought back the Urza's Saga art for 10th.
