I had a lot of fun playing with this in G/R Big Mana decks when it was legal.

I like it. Only one mana more than Stone Rain, plus you get a free tapped forest. Nice deal, IMHO.

If only landfall were in Time Spirale...

What does Mwonvuli mean? I think in Jamuuran in translates roughly to CARD ADVANTAGE

When I see cards like this, it kinda makes me feel sad about what red gets. They just get the dull old regular land destruction spells... My ally color needs a little love in the LD department ;)

I wouldn't mind them bumping LD to cc4 to slow it down as long as the spells add extra effects like the one here.

@ dberry0Z:
Red's counterpart to this is Roiling Terrain, which is quite cool and perhaps more of a game ender.

Orcish Lumberjack has sweet fantasies about this card when it goes to bed after the first turn.

This card is one of the reasons why a good legacy land destruction deck is capable of blowing up one land a turn between turns 2-5 and up to two lands a turn after that, along with the lumberjack, Exploration, Deus of Calamity, Frenzied Tilling, Raze and Font of Mythos. If you see an Island, sideboard in Wreak Havoc.

At common this is pretty ridiculous, in particular because not only can you slow down an opponent by destroying their mana source, but also you can use the fetching ability to pull out non-basic land cards, such as Temple Garden or Overgrown Tomb...or Stomping Ground if you plan on making a land destruction deck.

This sorcery is just melting opponents faces in casual play. 5/5

For those of you who think Conquer would be too powerful at 2RR instead of 4R cost.

Get a land (in green no less, the most mana-heavy color) and slow down your opponent in one fell stroke? Count me in.

@Omenchild
Every deck should have a good amount of mwonvuli in it, without mwonvuli you'll just flounder with an empty hand. (also, your comment cracked me up)

So I didn't put this in my mono-green deck. I never use Land Destruction, I said. It'll just make me a target in multiplayer, I said.

Got killed by a Creeping Tar Pit, I did. Fff-

I love this card. Even when you don't get it out super-early, it's still great to play.

Nearly every card in Time Spiral block was a throwback to at least one previously printed card.

This card references the cards Rampant Growth and Ice Storm. Mwonvuli is a dark jungle located on Jamuraa.
