These may be a known quantity that we're all glad to see back, but they deserve at least some credit for this amazing new art.
The Rob Alexander originals are beautiful and will remain more valuable than these, but there's really something to be said for some of the new art, especially this and Hallowed Fountain.
Tranquil and foreboding. Quite lovely, really. And it's a shockland. 'Nuff said.

Pros like me love shocklands, especially flavorful ones like these that fit their color's themes.

This just seems like one of those win-more cards that Wizards seems to be keen on printing these days.

I really prefer the old art on this one. The new one isn't bad, but the old one was outstanding.

Have you been huffing glue these days with the spare time spent building your mono color deck? Someone has obviously never been color screwed.
Shockland is shocking land of lands, Overpriced and broken. Way to go saying you were powering down standard with Avacyn block and then powering it back up with Rav2.0 wizards, glad to see you are still every bit as deceitful as always.

Ripped a foil one of these at prerelease. WHOO!

What ugly art. It looks more like a MOLDY tomb than an overgrown one. New art may be cooler with the other reprinted lands, but the old overgrown is much better looking than this one.

@ God_Of_The_Smurfs: Yeah, I got a foil in a booster pack. Gotta love the art.
And of course, it being a reprint and all.

Hmm...yeah the art on the old one is sort of better. But this one has more of that black-green feel than the previous one ever have. - In terms of utility, I need not say anything more. The shocklands are farmous for a reason.

@1337vanguard, I don't think you know what the term "win-more" means. "Win-more" means that it's a powerful effect, but that you'd only be able to pull it off if you're already winning anyway. This is a land, and either of the two effects you can use it for is just gaining mana (about the most mundane effect in the game), and you can play it at any time, including the first turn when the game is still wide open.

Beautifully evocative, though on reflection I prefer the old artwork by Rob Alexander simply because it looked like something out of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. Loving the flavour text!
You know, I'm not sure I like the original art better. I may not have played when the originals rolled around, so I may be biased, but I absolutely LOVE the art the reprints have. It's dark, lush, and although it doesn't seem to have much scale, it's huge! (there's a guy standing at the bottom of the second arch from the left in the original painting.)

Green and Black are my favorite colors that aren't blue.

The new Godless Shrine and Watery Grave are also gorgeous,
but we don't get those just yet.
