Immune to the chump blocker. Pump it up and you're set.

I was thinking he would be fun in a Green/white Exalted deck.

It's a potential 2/2 for 1 mana that has a little bit of evasion. Not bad. It's way better than almost all the other bloodthirst cards, that's for sure.

4/5, simply because I love exalted and this fits right in. Before blockers can be assinged, exalted kicks it up and then your opponent can do his best to block the "Oh, it only has 1/1" creature ^^

I have no idea why this card is rated so lowly! Sure bloodthirst is a bit conditional, but you're still looking at a 2/2 for 1. It's not a vanilla 2/2 either, it has a nice form of evasion (which has synergies with cards like Rancor, Armadillo Cloak, Behemoth Sledge, etc.). To give you an idea about how efficient that is, look at Vampire Lacerator or Carnophage. 2/2 for 1 with a drawback.
This card is no Kird Ape or Wild Nacatl, that's for sure. However, it certainly should not be dismissed even if it is somewhat situational.

This card is awesome in a green creature deck, pump it up with stuff like blanchwood armor and canopy cover and it's set. Hugely underrated.

Green is the king of pump. Therefore this card is awesome.

The only problem about people saying this is a 2/2 for 1 is that while this is technically true, it won't be the first turn of the game when all you have is one mana, and that is when that type of card is best. Despite that, I do love this card, as the evasion is great and there is nothing stopping you from somehow dealing damage on the second turn then dropping two of these babies out onto the field.

I got the original gruul deck, and put this in. I won a lot of games when this thing was suited up with wurmweaver coil. And I was the only one playing green. "Anyone else have a 7/7? didn't think so"

4.5/5 This is a good card for green to have. Conditional, balanced because you can't play it buffed on the first turn, and nice and flavourful. Good card design.

@Powereslave I think one of the reasons this card is rated lower than some is because it's a 1 mana creature that is not a true 1-drop. There are so many aggressive 2 mana creatures that this seems trivial and conditional, though people tend do to forget ability 2. It can be excellent in Warrior decks, as well as other casual deck archetypes, and is often a relevant creature even in the mid to late game under the right circumstances.

Better than trample, and almost strictly better than 'super trample' "Rhox" type cards
Throw some power increasing equipment or auras and hes better than all the unblockable creatures combined

This card is really, really solid. Can't tell you how often I've stuck a Rancor on and partied hard.

Notice that he is a HUMAN. This guy is one of the best 1 drops available for human tribal. living the dream-> T1:forest, wolfbitten captive T2:forest, swing (they wont block unless they want their guy to die to your potentially pumped captive), pit-skulk, pit-skulk T3: mayor of avabruck or adaptive automaton you have potentially 10 power on the board (your 2 largest creatures are essentially unblockable at this point) and its not even really a nut draw
Throw a Moldervine Cloak on him and your opponents will be hard pressed to use a kill spell on it. And before you say its a 2 for 1 waiting to happen the cloak has dredge so if you need a boost in power go grab it.

start dropping things like mayor of avabruck and hamlet captain and things get terrifying for the opponent real quick. deranged outcast also shines upon pit-skulks unblockability.
