Amazing card. I can tap two lands, return one of the tapped lands to my hand and untap the other one. Then, I can play the same land to start back on square one. Freaking awesome. Wait... Landfall is coming soon. Ooooooh, my sarcasm may be unjustified in a month and a half.

Could probably mess with Tolarian Academy

I dunno, Guild land? Tolarian academy? Any other land that produces more than one mana? It's not that hard.

Bounce lands to remove auras like Contaminated Ground?

I got nothin'.

You know, I really like the common moonfolk. They are about the only thing in kamigawa that fly so in a draft I pick up a huge army of them and beat everyone into a pulp, you don't even need to use the abilities.

I used to draft this guy a lot. I was not very good.

Not mind blowing card.

I love the art - most of the moonfolks look great, and Rebeccca Guay is one of the best artists ever.

Bounce a man-land to save it and untap another of your lands.

Hmm... About the only way I can think to use this is to abuse a land like the guild lands like Dimir aqueduct or city of shadows.

This isn't the one I used, but the Legendary Moonfolk and Moonfolk Spirit dude are part of a Legacy Fish deck I'm putting together. The common and some of the uncommon ones are a little harder to use, but with the proper resources, they can still be used to great effect. This one's ability seems a little too situational, though.

WotC: Rebecca! We want you to do another card illustration for us!

Rebecca Guay: Is another card that has some obscure effect that doesn't really do very much even in a deck made around it and once again people will love the art but hate the card?

WotC: ...No...

The art's color pallet is perfect, we need more Rebecca Guay!

It's more like:

WotC: Hey Rebecca, we'll make a card as good as your next art.

Players: Damn card is ugly AND it's ass.

I don't really like her art... sorry

Why is it that 70% of the cards Rebecca Guay illustrates are absolutely worthless? I'm starting to think it's a pre-emptive apology from Wizards or something. "Hey guys sorry we're wasting everyone's time with this trash, but here's some new Rebecca Guay artwork to cheer all of you up. Enjoy!"

Pretty much the only use I have ever found for this is with Magosi, the Waterveil. Tap for the eon counter, use this to untap it and use remaining land to copy the extra turn ability with the Rings of Brighthearth. If you have any bounce land, that is just another bonus (my favorite being monoblue and because it is useful, is Halimar Depths to help stack library a bit). Otherwise it is very situational.

While underwhelming, there are many uses for this 1/1 flyer. In addition to being one of the cheaper Soratomi/Landfall combo, you can also as CallmeMerry suggested, reuses Halimar Depth, trigger Valakut, and untap Magosi.

As for producing mana, uses Urza's lands. First have the set of three ready, tap tower and another to generate 5 mana, use 2 on the ability to untap tower, return one and play it again, to generate another 5 mana.

This card interacts badly with itself.... you have to work pretty hard to make the effect useful enough to justify playing a 1/1 flyer for two

I suppose it's not bad for triggering landfall, although there are far better ways to go about doing that.

The best use of this I can come up with is a combo with Cloudpost, Glimmerpost, and Fastbond. It's really slow way of gaining infinite life, but it works. Though again, there are better ways of doing this.

Just think: without the mana cost for the effect, this would have been amazing.

Would totally see play in Vintage with Tolarian Academy if they actually had more than one land in play at a time (aside for the extra in their hand that they woulda sacced to Crop Rotation had they not already grabbed the Academy)

As usual, the Moonfolk are a bit on the silly side in terms of their effects. But, as usual, Rebecca's art is absolutely amazing.

God, I hate it when this happens.

with Horn of Greed and Volrath's Stronghold, this card is gold! Otherwise, landfall triggers are good, any non-basic land helps.

Reuse Bojuka Bog over and over, and keep untapping your Cabal Coffers ;)

Okay! So I thought of an infinite mana any color combo with this card, Patron of the Moon, Lotus Vale, and two other lands on the field that don't bounce other land.

Step 1: Tap Lotsu Vale for three {W} {U} {B} {R} {G}.
Step 2: Pay {2} to bounce misc. land with Oboro Breezecaller's ability. Untap Lotus Vale. One floating mana of the color tapped with Lotus Vale.
Step 3: Repeat Step 1 than 2. Two mana floating of any color.
Step 4: Pay {1} to place the two land you bounced into play with Patron of the Moon's ability. One mana of any color you choose left floating.
Step 5: Repeat Steps 1 through 4 for infinite mana of any color combination!

Yay! I think I semi-redeemed this card, with it's absolutely GORGEOUS artwork!

Sorry for any formatting issues, and I'm sure someone else has though of this before, but I didn't see it posted up here so... And I know it's fragile, but hey! Who's gonna suspect this is part of an infinite mana combo?

The obvious combo would be High Tide. How has that not been mentioned? Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx OR Tolarian Academy also will work wonders with this card.

Useful when you have a land that taps for more than one mana, or you need one more mana of a specific color. A combo doesn't need to be infinite to be good, this can help accelerate or mana-fix blue and blue hybrid decks, which is nothing to laugh at. Plus its a 1/1 with evasion for 2. gets my vote for best non-legendary moonfolk.

One word: Landfall
This will guarantee you a landfall trigger at least once every turn for as long as she's on the field, and at the expense of 0 mana.

I used to run this lady in a janky casual RUG deck. I'd get down a Krosan Tusker or Tangle Golem, load a land up with several Dawn's Reflection, then use the Breezecaller to generate lots of mana by untapping the buffed land multiple times. All the while, my other lands would go back to my hand, and I'd spend the mana on multiple Rush of Knowledge to find my win condition; Spiraling Embers.
What I'm saying is that even a fairly lacklustre card can find a piece in a fun, casual combo deck!
