The epitome of beauty. Definitely a great card in regular formats or EDH.

this card is absolutley insane and only gets better with a: the ability to put lands into your hand and/or b: Crucible of Worlds.

If you have 2 Ravnica block bounce lands in your hand when you cast this, and already 2 regular lands in play, this accelerates your mana base fast. On turn 3 you will have 6 mana at your disposal.

LANDFALL! I called it first.

With a Steppe Lynx and a Crucible of Worlds in play and a Terramorphic Expanse in the graveyard, you get a 16/17 attacking creature for 2 mana, not bad to me! With the landfall ability, this card is great, but definitely needs to be played with Crucible of worlds.

@dudecow

It says up to three extra lands, so explore is good because you get to draw a card, but if you do happen to have 2-3 lands in your hand, this card is way better, because even if you only have one extra land, you can still play just that. It doesnt say you have to play three, and if you cant, you dont get anything.

At target, you can spend $5 for a booster repackaged with "8 additional cards." My friend bought one; the additional cards were all 6th edition summer blooms. And there were only 7.

This is one of the few cards that i'm in love with based on flavor alone. The name and art are just so beautiful.

It's not a bad card either. Rites of Spring comes to mind.

tarramorphic expanse for turn get the land play this card get 3 more tarramorpic expanse plus the lands from those equals +16/+16 to steppe lynx or combining it with hedron crab equals your oppoent miling 24 cards and if amulet of vigor were out you could play explore then play 4 evolving wilds and get the bonus out of those...

now finally after doing the math you could either mill your opponet for 55 or turn steppe lynx into a 36/37
oh my thats not even throwing the possiblaties with primeval titan given you had lightning greaves out equip it and swing thats another 2 lands now your milling 61 and turning steppe lynx 40/41 now if hellkite charger were out and this still wernt enough to finish your opponet you get your second combat phase which say you were able to get back tarramorpic expanse back with crucibie of worlds and somehow managed to play it thats 73 mill 45/46 then lets say you played harrow thats 2 more lands lets say you get back evolving wilds somehow thats an additional 4 lands thats 95 mill that also turns steppe lynx 49/50 oh my well thats quite the super turn

@thegatekeeper: You sound manic with no punctuation

Also, I excitedly traded this to a friend, but now I realized: aside from combos, when are you gonna have those three extra lands? Unless this is in your opening hand, you really don't get to use it that much...I'll test it...

How often are you going to have three extra lands? I'd much rather play Explore.

Edit:
@Leo...Preliator: My point is that the times when this is better than Explore wouldn't occur as often as the times when Explore is better than this. Another thing is that this is worthless if you topdeck it with no cards in your hand.

I remember getting beaten by this thing during round 3 or 4 in an FNM. This dude went like turn 2 Summer Bloom, then he bounced lands with Ravnica bouncelands and replayed the lands. Then he started firing Time Stops... his counterspell of choice. He drew tons of cards with Tidings, made Vinelasher Kudzu really really huge, and though I got an Angel of Despair off a Chord of Calling (on your bounceland!), it turned out that taking away two mana does essentially nothing, as he got way too much card advantage from the lands.

Oh Summer Bloom!

Edit: during that same game, I cast Vanish into Memory on one of his Vinelasher Kudzu, drawing seven and discarding one. Turned out that wasn't enough.

it's great if you got mana flooded.

4 land drops on turn 2. Can be crazy if built around. Definitely not a card you just x4 without thought.
