I used to love the Honden, over all Honden of Infinite Rage and Honden of Seeing Winds!
When you have in play one honden it isn't nothing special, but if you have two(different, obviously) hondens, then the advantage can become very strong!
4.5/5 to the blue and red ones

All shrines are awesome! This one will annoy target player.

I love the idea of the shrines since they become better for each one out and you can only have one of each due to their legendary status, meaning you have to have a bunch of diffrent colored shrines to really get these to wreck your opponents. So much flavor.

Of course if you really want to utilize these shrines consider a mirror gallery to fix the legendary problem. Having just two of these out alone will give you 4 damage a turn for whatever target you have in mind.

One = 1 damage, Two = 4 damage, Three = 9 damage, Four = 16 damage.

The only problem using more than one of these with mirror gallery is that you get most likely 3-or-more-for-1d very fast, but otherwise it's really tempting

An interesting cycle of cards, it has always been my dream to have all 5 out at once...

This is a godsend for Bloodthirst decks.

Probably the best honden, maybe second to the blue one. Even without other shrines, it wreaks havoc on weenie decks.

Good, but worse in the base case than a hasty tim like cunning sparkmage.
Should be used in a deck that cares about enchantments, perhaps because you will be casting Jokulhaups. This would be a nice card to have out when most of the world has been washed away.

Looks like John Avon has been to Burning Man

This is actually pretty good just on its own. It's a pinger that can't be dealt lethal damage or Doom Bladed. When it's combined with other Shrines, it gets pretty brutal.

Play all hondens in an enchantment deck, preferably 5 color with g/w as main. Then add Mirror Gallery, enlightened Tutor, Sterling Grove and replenish. Now you need to get as many enchantments into your graveyard somehow and replenish them when you have shroud to support them out.

Edit: There we go:

I love yelling "HOOOONNNDEN OF INFINATE RAAAGGEEEEUUU" whenever this card's ability goes off. :/

Am I the only one who sees the Gurren Lagann symbol every time I look at this card's art?

Even without the other shrines this is basically Prodigal Pyromancer without the 1/1 body, and let's be honest: an enchantment is generally preferable to a 1/1 body. Its why the Magus cycle is not nearly as broken as most of the cards they are based off of, and some of the Magus's have more relevant P/T than Tims.

Although this is harder to remove than a Cunning Sparkmage, remember that being confined to using it during your upkeep can be a significant disadvantage -- the constant threat of a cunning sparkmage can force the opponent to attack or block less optimally out of fear that it'll get added on to the damage your creatures inflict. This card doesn't let you pull those tricks.

Has anyone else noticed that the Hondens all have the same abilities as their corresponding Zuberas?
