Shame it's not "other black creatures you control" or "Nonblack creatures you don't control". Still very good.

I'm putting together a mono black deck, so this is absolutely perfect for a deck like mine. Good to sideboard in case you run across someone who isn't playing black. Imagine getting two or three of these out at one time! A must for any black aggro deck.

StreamHopper he's a legend. Therefore you can't have more than one on the field at a time.

Ten times better than Crovax the Cursed. Btw what was the angels name.

@ Taltor
The angel Crovax killed was Selenia, Dark Angel.

I really hate that they used up a rare spot in a Zombie deck to put this in the Zombie Empire deck.

I was dissapointed when I saw he was a vampire too. But that didn't last long, because I have both a vampire and a zombie deck. So I just slipped him into my vampire deck

Should have the Warrior type as well as being a Vampire.

As already mentioned, he is legendary, so you can only have 1 at the table at any one time. If you want -+1/+1 X 4 for black, consider Ashenmoor liege, if you have a lot of "bring back from graveyard" cards.
This is a nice creature, though he doesn't look very flying from the graphic.

The people wondering why he can fly it's because he's a vampire...Vampires turn into bats...

Crovax, Ascendant Hero vs Ascendant Evincar... who wins? Well considering that there is Crovax the Cursed, the winner goes to Evincar! The two cards Crovax, Ascendant Hero and this card look like they are walking to their duel :)

His cape grants him flying, as superman would testify.

Legend Rule Is Gay I'll Have 3 On The Field If I Want. I'm Sure Woolly Thoctars Dont Get Along With Other Woolly Thoctars But They Dont Commit Mass Suicide While I'm Trying To Win The Game.

@VegaSecureA; well, in a fight between those two guys, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa wins.

Wonder why he isn't called "Crovax, Ascendant Evincar." Too long, maybe? Doesn't look like it.

I should run this and Squee, Goblin Nabob in the same deck. The flavour would rule.

Geez I hated this guy back in the day. Between him and other old black negative/negative effects my goblins were basically pay X for 0/0's. It's funny though, because now I love running his white counterpart Crovax, Ascendant Hero in my mono-white Kithkin deck...works beautifully against all of those pesky little goblins...
