This card is also great fun when used with Clash cards. The drawback is that it still won't ensure a certain win, but even if you cast the accordant card the next turn you've got still better chances.

Slowing down your opponet for 2 turns and making him/her mad. No wonder that is not reprinted because of WoTC policy that bouncing lands is "bad".

I would hit people with 2 or 3 of these in a row (with the help of Eternal Witness.) That alone would be enough to make them scoop. The tempo this card provides is insane.

This card is made of concentrated evil and hate. 5/5

Ugh. Such an un-fun card. There are ways to screw with your opponent that don't ensure they'll be doing next to nothing for the next two turns.

Could be useful on yourself in a valakut deck once you've dropped enough mountains and have an oracle of mul daya in play.

A definite way to make enemies in your playgroup. NOONE will like you if you put this in a deck. Rightfully so too. It's just mean. If you really want to make a deck around it, use Eternal Witness and Stampeding Serow, also highly suggest Acidic Slime.

You want the most broken combination with this card where no one will ever play against that deck ever again no matter what you say or do (I actually almost lost a friend over this.) Then i have only 2 words Panoptic Mirror. During your upkeep every turn it generates a copy of the imprinted card (in this case plow under) that can be played for no mana cost.

Get this combo out and you opponent draws land every turn for the rest of the game.

There is nothing about this card that is fair. Either you can cast it, and you set your opponent so far back it is sick, or you can't, in which case the game is over soon.

@3d4; no, its not strictly worse than primal command. If primal command could put two cards on top of the opponents library, you could consider it worse. But it cannot duplicate the effect this card has. They are merely different.

Green doesn't usually get frustrater cards, but this is one of the few that it does. It slows your opponent down in two ways, reducing available mana and ensuring land draws. Absolutely brutal.

"You're not drawing any land? Maybe I can help you with that."

Well, Primal Command caused half the frustation this does, yet it saw quite a bit of play. This also saw quite a bit of play, in addition to ruining many casual tables out there.

Such a troll card. In practice, when it is well timed it actually plays out like Time Stretch, and it's pretty blatantly obvious that gaining a two turn advantage over your opponent is not an effect that should cost only five mana. On its own, this effect is very frustrating, which is no doubt the reason that we rarely see it anymore and when we do it's in a considerably less powerful form than this.

When it's abused, nobody will like you anymore, and rightfully so. That is bad and you should feel bad.

I instantly quit any game in which this is used against me. what on Earth were they thinking with such a BS card?

Easily in the top 5 most unfun cards to play against in the entire history of MTG, even more so than Jace the Mind Sculptor imo, and that's saying a lot.

@busdude: JtMS was broken, but NOT unfun.

I  this card, and I wish it was in standard right now. It would certainly make the Titan matchup easier, since it bounces Inkmoth and Wolf Run.

It's "unfun" to play against? That's weird, I'm having plenty of fun playing this card. :-D

@Pedrodyl

4 Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
4 Nature's Lore
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Sylvan Library
4 Woodfall Primus
4 Karn Liberated
4 Eternal Witness
4 Stampeding Serow
2 Primal Command
2Desert Twister
4 Plow Under

20 Forest.

Simple, easy. Ramp into nasty control and tempo with Rofellos, then set up Stampeding Serow with the Primus to blow crap up or Eternal Witness to Recur nasty crap like the command, twister, or plow under. If Rofellos is too exposed a route for you, cut the Sylvan Libraries and him and run a more traditional ramp, or just cut the Library and add a source of Shroud to your liking. Karn is there for additional Griefing and Control.

Turn Three Plow Under is absolutely devastating, and will generally cause people to scoop. In fact, this deck hardly ever wins games, it causes people to scoop out of frustration.
You will lose friends quickly playing this, especially those who fail to grasp the importance of critter kill.

This was a ruthless card, Green usually has the reputation of big bad creatures, not with this card! This actually had to be the meanest card. Putting your opponent 2 lands behind and taking away 2 of their next draw steps? Add to that you have mana acceleration so you can probably cast this on turn 3. Yeah This was absolutely nuts when paired with Red decks that ran Stone Rain and Magnivore and Eternal Witness. People have always complained about Blue cards being broken or unfair, but Plow Under has to be the most unfair Green card ever printed.

Ouch this can really hurt your opponent. Ruins their next two draws and slows them down greatly. Still 5 mana is quite steep...

If this is what Plow Under can do, I sure as hell never want to see Plow Over.

..you can cast this turn 3 in green, turn 2 if you're creative (or have money.)

Example:
T1 - Whatever you want
T2 - Gaea's Touch
T3 - Sac touch (5 mana) cast this. Card neutral too!

@ pedrodyl: Already been done. Look up the Trinity deck from the Urza block era. Scary monogreen control.
