Feels like it could be a limited all-star. With things like Aqueous Form, Titan's Strength, and Gods Willing in the format, that +2/+0 and first strike should never be hard to activate. Ooh! And Witches' Eye! That, too.

I agree. I feel like this girl will be an all star in this set. With as much scry rolling around...should be fun!

This doesn't work as well as I like it to with Prognostic Sphinx :( ... still, interesting card, maybe we'll get more of these "if you scry" effects later.

This art is absolutely lovely (is this the same girl that's on Magma Jet?), and that effect is pretty powerful. Shame there isn't much else like this in the set.
I hate cards that basically say "X card is worthless outside of its block".

There's plenty of cheap and effective scry spells to allow this to see some play.

Coincidentally, this actually fits very well in Izzet colors if you pair it with Eyes of the Watcher. I always did like that old Memnarch card, it's nice to see a potential use for it.

"Whenever you scry" sounds like something out of Future Sight... come to think of it, Future Sight even had scry!

Cryptic Annelid is very kind to this chick. Thassa can keep her at least a 4/3, if you need it.

"this guy will get rich or die scrying"

I had a single Flamespeaker Adept in a sealed pool, and she still performed amazingly well. Witches' Eye let her completely dominate several games. Scry is great even by itself, so I didn't need to warp my deck to fit the Flamespeaker into it.

Beats face in red/blue limited (the two colors with the most scry). @bowlofgumbo Good one XD

I really like the flavor behind this design. When you scry, you look a little bit into the future, so you get a glimpse of how the battle will go. Since you know how the battle will go, like whether your opponent will feint left or strike up high, you get an advantage, allowing you to counter their moves before they do it and hit back even harder. That translates extremely well into both first strike and pumping. In a set full of flavor, this card really makes me happy.

If I Scry 1, she gets +2/+0. If I Scry 2, does she get +4/+0? I'm guessing No.
I made a deck based around this card. I just took all my red and blue cards with scry on them, put them in a pile, and threw in some lands and Spellheart Chimeras for good measure. It's really gimmicky and has a low success rate but it's pretty fun to use.

Went 3-1 in pre-release with this and Aqueous Form . That alone put the opponet on a clock, not to mention the several cheep costed Red and blue scry spells made her the most dangerious thing always.
@Hadady You are correct - regardless of the number you scry, she will only get +2/+0. You have to scry multiple times (like with Cryptic Annelid) in order to get the bonus multiple times.

I designed a deck with this. I haven't bought it, so I don't know if it's good. Most of my decks are okay, though.
Pretty good in limited, and she's practically begging to be drafted in izzet colors. Also seems like the time of card that you want to build around in constructed.

Hi there Thassa! Thassa+ double aqueous form + titan's strength makes a 13/4 unblockable on turn 5.... And that's a very rudimentary combo.

At least it's kind of different.
@Hadady
You are correct - regardless of the number you scry, she will only get +2/+0. You have to scry multiple times (like with Cryptic Annelid) in order to get the bonus multiple times.
Here it is:
4x Flamespeaker Adept
4x Assault Strobe
3x Aqueous Form
4x Titan's Strength
4x Cryptic Annelid
4x Mystic Speculation
3x Magma Jet
4x Long-Term Plans
4x Merchant Scroll
3x Dissolve
3x Condescend
Titan's Strength and Cryptic Annelid both pump Flamespeaker Adept a bunch, and Assault Strobe double the damage she'll deal. Long-Term Plans tutors her up, and Merchant Scroll can tutor Long-Term Plans or any of my other blue instants. Scrying eliminates the drawback of Long-Term Plans to speed my deck up. Dissolve and Condescend protect her and make her stronger.
