I wonder if it would ever be feasible to make a deck built around all the cards of this archetype. Maybe in Commander.

Pros like me will use the card to stack up massive damage.

So here's this set's token overcosted Red block-hoser that will see no play. At least WotC is finally learning from their past mistakes and not saddling a booster down by putting this at the rare slot.

I wish they would stop making these. Every block it seems like we get our one red enchantment that deals 2 damage whenever a block mechanic is used. Come on WotC, get creative with red!

These should really cost 2R, rather than 4R. I'd love for them to just fricking go away, but if I have to eat them every damn set I want them cheap, and useful. This is not.

This is a very good build-around card in limited. I doubted it at first, but decided to try it out, and it won me a couple of drafts quite handily.

Despite the steampunk goblin, don't use it with Izzet, which has very few good gold/hybrid cards. I find Golgari-Rakdos uses it best, with plenty of decent, cheap multicoloured creatures that hold down the early game and are given a second purpose late game as Shocks when this hits the table. Then there's Auger Spree, Treasured Find, and Grisly Salvage, which are cheap and relevant at almost any stage of the game.

No, seriously, try it!

I always wanted to build a deck around this in draft. I finally decided to do so and probably ended up with my worst deck ever, going 0-3. Do not recommend. I was constantly color screwed, my deck was pretty bad, haha.

I can see a multicolor-heavy, instant/sorcery-heavy deck channeling a ton of mana into an Epic Experiment with Pyroconvergence is on the board.

Do off colour flashback spells (eg. desperate ravings) count as multicoloured?

I bet the goblin on the artwork constantly hears "Do You Believe in Magic?" from The Lovin' Spoonful, and sees himself holding a contraption with multiple trumpets emitting rainbows - instead of a flame thrower spitting fire.
(In case you wondered, that's why you get to burn stuff by casting multicolored spells.)

Actually now that i think about it - looking at the functionality, artwork and flavor text again -
i'm almost certain Wizards pulled a Team Fortress 2 reference here.

You know, as interesting as this card's flavor might be, I don't really believe in the playability of this card.

But should this goblin ever walk towards me with his flame thrower pointed right at me and ask "Do you believe in Magic?", i'll smile at him and answer his question with a confident "Yes!", ready to taste the rainbow.
Then, as he proceeds his lunatic convergence and starts to blow away my face along with my sanity with something about which i'm not sure anymore is fire or rainbows, pain or joy, i can imagine both of us to start singing together:

Do you believe in Magic in a young nerd's heart
How the gathering can free him, whenever it starts
And it's Magic, if the decks are groovy
It makes you feel happy even though you’re a newbie
I'll tell you about the rules, and you’ll know the stack,
But be careful not to confuse it with the cards’ back.

If you believe in Magic don't bother to choose
If it's a control deck, aggro, or combo abuse
Just go and play it'll start with a smile
It won't wipe off your face no matter how hard you try
Your cards start tapping and you can't seem to find
How you got there, so just blow your mind

If you believe in Magic, come along with me
We'll play until morning 'til there's just you and me
And maybe, if the format is right
I'll meet you tomorrow, sort of Friday at night
And we'll go playing, baby, then you'll see
How the magic's in the cards and the cards are with me

Yeah, do you believe in Magic
Yeah, believe in the magic of a young nerd’s soul
Believe in the magic of a player’s role
Believe in the magic that can set you free
Ohh, talking 'bout magic

Do you believe like I believe?
Do you believe in Magic?
Do you believe like I believe?
Do you believe in Magic?

if they're not going to cost it decently why bother making it at all?

You know what?

Even though this looks unplayable in limited, if you play 2 multi-coloured things, you've already got your money's worth. RtR draft is a really slow format (compared to M12 and the whole Innistrad block. M13 was kind of weird), so getting this out is usually a problem.

Not only that, but how many anti-enchantment spells are there that aren't rare/mythic?
There are 3: Golgari Charm (usually high pick, hard to get) Sundering Growth (requires a creature token on the field), and Keening Apparition (probably the best choice, since it's easy to get). Long story short, this is staying on the field for a while.

For all those haters of cost, I think this'd be pretty amazing if it cost 3Red, or even 2BlueRed. It's fair now.

I think DarthParallax somehow got ahold of Mode's account..
