Just an amazing card. When you can potentially dig 6 cards into your deck, there's almost no chance you aren't getting the card you want to the top of your deck.

There is no X cost. X is the amount of cards the ability says you are scrying. X is simply the generic letter for a variable.

You people are insane for rating this a ~3.5. A 1/4 with scry 6 on it for only four mana. This is so killer in my monoblue deck. Having a 1/4 just blocking the crap out of my opponent and then having Mulldrifter doing its flying business is great. Throw in some clones for extra card madness...

Scry 6 is stronger, but this is still a good utility creature.
Example, you scry 1 and find the card you want to keep. Then scry 2 and find another good card under it. Then scry 3 and ditch the junk card under both of them.
Scry 6 you would see the two good cards on top, and dig 4 deeper throwing out the trash.

This name is a pun (I think/hope). Annelid is the latin name for the phylum more commonly known as earthworms and it is a worm beast. I also get analysis (which cone of scrying certainly does) from the name. Perhaps that is just me though.
