Almost as good as dissipate, and vastly better than cancel.

More reason not to play Cancel.

Here's your Dissipate replacement. You're welcome, blue players.

Cancel, meet playability. I'm sure you too will get along well.

Strictly better than Cancel, and pretty useful since it can help set up your next draw. A wonderful counterspell to have in the standard environment.

Scry is always good. Counters are always good. When your counters scry for you, it's something to appreciate. Competes with Condescend in modern playability, though. Not quite as good, in the decks that have been running the former. Still, this may be the go-to 3cmc counter for standard.

Finally, we get a decent counterspell for once. Time to go put away all my Cancels.

With Cavern of Souls finally out of the picture, this might actually be quite playable.

COME TO PAPA! If there's one thing that control decks love, it's cheap deck manipulation. And if there's one thing they love even more, it's that, stapled onto their control spells. I'd say the scry is worth 1 colorless on its own, so really, this is not only strictly better than Cancel, it's better value than a lot of other counterspells, even those that saw a lot of play. This really is a no-brainer.

As long as R&D insists on printing hard-counters at three mana, this is the type of three-mana hard counter they should be printing.

When my opponent casts something and he or she asks if it resolves, I'm going to say it Dissolves!

After playing with this a bit.

I'd say it's better than dissipate if only because dissipate's (admittedly more powerful) secondary effect only matters against certain (admittedly a good portion of all) decks.

Scry 1 isn't that great, but when you've got a deck full of Scry 1 or 2 effects attached to cards otherwise playable, it can get out hand.

Well designed, fun to use, not overpowered, playable.

Is it Counterspell? No. Is it worth the extra 1 for the scry? In most cases yes. I can see this making a splash in Modern.

Honestly needs to be a Core Set -staple-, and Scry needs Evergreening.

Countermagic is tough to cost for both balance and relevancy right now. Yes, I want this as a Common.

I'd prefer Psychic Strike in three colored decks, because it's easier to cast and it can ruin enemy scrying.

Proof that Wizards doesn't mind printing a good counterspell on occasion. Exactly the sort of counterspell that makes for a healthy standard environment. 4.5/5

Ah, yet another three-mana counterspell to add to my stack of three-mana counterspells in EDH.

Also, is it just me, or does the woman depicted in the art look a good deal like Padme from Star Wars?

Why isn't this rated better than Cancel?!?

This is one of the best counterspells they have printed for blue in a while.... Scry is exactly what blue wants and needs. It's a hard counter for 3 which is the standard for a hard counter in modern. I love the artwork. The foil is gorgeous.
