Again, this should have been a land. WOTC, you screwed up.

Obvious application is artifact decks, but three of it's abilities are useable in any deck, because you can cycle itself with the last ability.
Seeing this card always makes me happy, because it is the first card I ever drafted. :)

Hey, it's that card again that everybody likes but nobody plays. I really like this card! I never play it though.

Can't say it's reliable or great, but in the pre-release I opened this with a Sanguine Bond. Had multiple games I curved out a perfect turn 4 Post, turn 5 Bond, and assuming they were at 20 life (They were always less), it's an unblockable 5 turn clock. I will always love this card, just for that.

Very interesting if it meets with Angelic Accord . Never any more spare lands or weak creatures!

Card that no one plays? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? This is amazing in limited for control decks. This card buys you so much time. Losing only 1 life to create chump blockers is a great deal and you can turn useless topdecks/excess lands into lifegain to buy you even more time. Outdamaging 4 lifegain a turn is frickening annoying and once you play against this, you'll understand why this card is so good and slap yourself in the face for not drafting it. That's not even including the last two abilities which probably won't be used as much, but are also useful.

Too bad I never saw one of these beauties in M13. This sucker makes Keyrunes awesome, it also works well with Chandra's Phoenix. Out of curiosity, if I activate the Izzet Keyrune and land combat damage while I have an empty hand can I activate this, sack the keyrune and draw a second card to discard so I can hang onto the one the keyrune drew me or do I have to discard first?

This could have been interesting as a land, because lands are generally harder to get rid of than artifacts, but paying 1 life to chump block is definitely a life-saver if you're against a beatdown deck. The lifegaining effect and the goats alone make this card worthwhile. The creature and artifact-saccing effects are just gravy.

Wierd, wierd card, but actually playable. Like other people said: 1 life for a blocker is really good, and you can also use it to get artifacts back, or draw cards or gain life, or for sac effects, or for... well, you get the point. So many options! 4/5

Bubbling Cauldronworks great with this card as you get 3 life every turn for two mana. Ratchet Bomb and Elixir of Immortality can also be saved if facing a milling deck. All Around this is an amazing recycle card for any player using artifacts in their deck.

Discard is always good with any kind of repeatable card advantage. Life gain is fine if it's worth it and not all something does.
Used with Land Tax I could see one stalling with lifegain from extra lands and goats for time. Two of this with Land Tax in some kind of Legacy Stax might be worth it!

This is going in my madness deck. One mana of any color to discard kill spells and 4/4 tramplers that you can then play for a discount price in addition to four life is a great deal.

This is very good in voltron EDH decks where protecting your equipment from destruction is very important. If they destroy any artifact you can just make a goat end of turn, untap, sac the goat and get it back. Paying 1 life and 2 mana across 2 turns to return an artifact card from your graveyard to your hand is a VERY good deal, not only that but it is also a great sac outlet should someone try to tuck or exile your creatures or artifacts. It's like a plainswalker they can't attack into and you can activate at instant speed, it just needs a bit of building around and some spare mana every turn, but it's really powerful. It's kind of like a sword of light and shadow for artifacts. I'm not going to go into specific card synergies because it works really well with A LOT of cards.
4.5/5 for casual/edh 3/5 for competitive formats (artifacts are really easy to hate out nowadays)

Making a goat and returning an artifact combo is probably its best use, but there are a lot of artifacts that want to be sacrificed. Ichor Wellspring for example. The discard a card option can be handy for things like reanimator or madness.

Up there in flavor with jar of eyeballs. I will always love you trading post. <3
I'm making it my mission to be the only person in my town that owns copies of this card, so I always trade others copies to me when I have the opportunity. The reasons for this is that: A) having a monopoly on Trading Posts seems delightfully ironic to me, and B) it makes frickin' GOATS!
1) Use this to discard Colossus and gain 4 life at end of opponent's turn 2) During your turn, cast Shallow Grave targeting Colossus and swing for 9 trample damage. 3) Sacrifice Colossus to this, to put Colossus back in your hand. 4) Repeat as often as able.
