Too many crappy cycles in this deck. Gives me the feeling they were just looking for cheap fillers because they ran out of ideas.

Build around this guy in your draft deck, and he's basically Overrun, otherwise known as big-spell-that-ends-the-game. Not to be overrated. And a 3/5 flier for 6 isn't the worst rate by itself.
That said, while playable, it's never really exciting.

A decent finisher in limited.

Everyone kept calling this a bomb in my bombless Simic/Izzit deck. I was always happy to draw it, just for the toughness.

IMO, usefulness with each guild.
Izzet: Its ability is variable with your deck. If you're going straight-up spellcaster, it's quite obviously useless. However, if you have things like Tenement Crashers and Cobblebrutes, it'll be a great alternative to burn.
Dimir: Amazing. More evasion for your creatures, and, by extension, Cipher. Goes great.
Azorius: It seems like almost all of their creatures have flying already. Their keyrune even has it. Not the best because its purpose is fulfilled already, but it's still pretty good.
It really the only of it's cycle that actually looks like an elemental. I feel the other four could have a second tpe (Maze Behemoth could be an elemental beast, Maze Abomination be an Elemental Horror, and so on.)
@Mistralis, Tenement Crashers and Cobblebrutes would not be granted flying by this card. In fact, I can't really think of any powerful multicolored Izzet card that doesn't already have flying.

This card is probably a little too expensive for what it does, but it certainly has its place. Swapped Skygames out of my Dimir for this because Skygames can only be activated as a sorcery, whereas this can be permanent flying to a good portion of my creatures... like the Consuming Aberration

@DaLucaray: Nivix Cyclops? Also, I could kind of see this being an Illusion, although Elemental does fit it a bit better.
@Mistralis: What kind of Izzet deck is it if it has Tenement Crasher and Cobblebrute? Those are about as far from Izzet philosophy, mechanic, and playstyle-wise as you can get.

This card kind of sucks, but the artwork on the foil version is so beautiful. I have one and it's one of my favorite cards to look at.

I can't bring myself to play this thing. I don't have enough non-flier creatures in my Izzet deck to make this guy worth it. So I basically have to deal with a 3/5 flier for 6 mana. That's suicidal. Give me hypersonic drgon or even fluxcharger any day and I'll find a slot for them.

Simic: Like Maze Behemoth, its purpose is fulfilled by Crowned Ceratok and Sapphire Drake already, which are lower cost and have a better creature for the price.
