I think this is the worst of the cycle. Trample is not the most impactful keyword and the body does not really compare for a green creature. Still decent though.

Weird that this is an elemental. It looks like a beast to me.

That's a Leyline of Lifeforce it's standing on!

Nah, this one actually does look like an elemental. Some sort of sod elemental.

I prefer Roughshod Mentor unless I am making a deck including green with many non-green multicolor creatures that need trample. Which I have never done.

IMO, usefulness with each guild.

Selesnya: It's great only sometimes. There are only two kinds of Selesnya creatures: giant ones (Grove of the Guardian), and little ones (Eyes in the Skies). In addition, the centaurs and birds aren't multicolored. Only things like Voice of Resurgance tokens and the like. It's a high cast cost anyways, so by then, you should have those kinds of things. It doesn't really help Selesnya that much though, as token swarm with trample doesn't really work, and if you can get something that big out, you've probably won anyways.

Simic: Like Maze Glider, this card's purpose is fulfilled a lot better by Crowned Ceratok and Sapphire Drake. Not the most useful, but it's okay, I guess. It's a lot easier to use the two others, though, lower casting cost, and it comes with a creature in addition that's good for its pricing. So, not the best.

Golgari: It's pretty good. Your giant scavenged creatures will not get chump-blocked by that damn Ornithopter token again.

Gruul: It's very nice. If you have tons of bloodrush things in your hand but they can clearly chump block, suddenly, it's a viable gamender.

Yeah, its too p/t is too low for a high cmc green creature. Yeah, there are better alternatives for green. But this is also terrible because Rancor is still pretty recent, and this thing can't even come close to comparing.
