The more Beasts they print the happier I am, I love the subtype.

Playable (but not great) in limited. Unplayable everywhere else.

Functional reprint of Flameborn Hellion with different creature type. It's alright.

MY BEAUTIFUL CATHEDRAL!! Stupid beast!

Two stars, people? This thing with a drawback is over three. Same rarity, better-supported creature type, still pretty good art. Doesn't that mean, especially in Return to Ravnica's slower, overcosted limited environment, that we are objectively wrong here?

Pros like me know that this guy is a beast.

And here's Red's obligatory french vanilla haster to prove to use that haste is still in Red's colorpie--even if Green ends up with all the best hasters. Hey, at least Red gets burn. Right? Right guys?

"Functional reprint of Flameborn Hellion with different creature type. It's alright."
@avimkv It's not only a functional reprint, it's even a strictly version - you don't have to attack with this.

Oddly enough, despite this fact the hellion's rating is currently about twice as good.

Huge, random, clunky creatures seems to be a theme of this set. This one is like the others - oddly huge, overcosted, and unplayable outside of Limited.

I almost had a heart attack when I opened it at the prerelease... I thought it was a Vexing Devil

Perhaps this is downrated because the name and flavor text imply this has trample.

People really underestimate these huge hasted creatures. The Igneous Pouncer wins me games(Not through landcycling, but attacking), and this offers higher toughness and more splashability. I don't see why people don't like it.

This card is my token Limited creature.

The colour is barely a worry: 5Red? I could be playing 5-coloured and not have to search for a land to play it.

Every time it comes out, my opponent will have to constantly block it. Sure, they'll play Eyes in the Skies, but you know, there's only so many birds that can block this.

4 toughness is such a relief, especially considering red's other token colour-light hasters (WINK WINK LIGHTNING ELEMENTAL), because it can evade dying to Annihilating Fire or any 3/3 centaur token.

This is one of the dark horses (or dark beasts) of limited: looks bad, but really performs well. Give it some combat tricks/boosters (Deviant Glee, Pursuit of Flight, ethereal armor, etc.) and you're going to have a good time.

Oh dear lord... look under its mouth and rear legs. Yeah, that's a guy getting torn to pieces. I only noticed by closely looking at the actual card, wondering why a human leg was flying through the air.

2/5. A 5/4 hasty beater for 6. Not bad in limited, not good for much else.

Strictly better than Flameborn Hellion, yes, but don't forget Flameborn's predecessor: Iron-Barb Hellion!

Too bad about this card's crappy, crappy name. Even "Crimson Hellion" would have been better.

Of course, outside of Limited, Hellkite Charger and Conquering Manticore are worth the heavier red commitment.

Next, on the DeVanilla project, where we take overcosted vanilla cards, and inspire them with unique mechanics.

For Tenement Crasher, I'd give:
