If you bought the Night of the Ninja precon then you might enjoy adding a few of these.

This can stop even 3 drops in their tracks.

This card isn't very good. And yet, there's definitely something to be said for having a 0/4 Wall without Defender. It would be interesting to build an Exalted deck using this, however Blue isn't exactly known for its Exalted creatures. Still, WU will always be a viable strategy in Limited.

Grand Architect is out and no Everflowing Chalice in standard. Good job killing a viable budget deck wotc.

This can actually be better than Steel Wall, in the right situation. In DotP, I once attached a Ring of Evos Isle to this guy. My opponent was unable to remove him (due to the hexproof). Once he grew to about 10 power, I played a Distortion Strike and swung twice for the win. Of course, this isn't going to happen often, but it's nice to know that he can attack, if you need it.

This serves as an early blocker that is a pain to remove in limited. As for constructed, I could see it being used in a {G}/{U} deck with pump spells and Rancor, although even then it probably isn't good enough for constructed. Great casual card though. 3.5/5 for being solidly decent.

A great defender that isn't a defender. Something to think about.

Release the Kraken! It's a decent 1CMC blocker, and sometimes that's all you need. It won't kill stuff, but it can take hits like almost no other 1-drop. 3.5/5

This is actually a good defender choice, but it has to compete with fog bank.

I honestly believe that any blue deck could benefit from these.
A 0/4 on turn one? Most early game creatures can't get through that.
And now that the Evolve mechanic is out, it makes this card even more useful by buffing all of your creatures. But of course you'd have to play it after turn 1. But that's what I use my unsummons for, just bringing back creatures to evolve others.
Oh yeah, and the Ring of Evos Isle makes this even better.

This thing is way underrated. There is a reason the Zendikar printing has 4 stars. These are really good to sideboard in against aggro decks, especially most of the Naya and Jund threats, such as:

Rakdos Cackler
Experiment One
Stromkirk Noble
Champion of the Parish (at least long enough to hit it with spot removal)
Burning-Tree Emissary
Lightning Mauler
Gravecrawler
Ash Zealot
Diregraf Ghoul
Geralf's Messenger
Frontline Medic
Even Boros Reckoner can't break through this thing.

The list goes on...my point is, this can really bog down most aggro/zoo strategies, and the fact that it doesn't have Defender means you can give it a Runechanter's Pike and use it offensively mid-late game.

Ehh. I know it's not the same colour but I much prefer the ones that draw you a card when they come in - Wall of Blossoms or Wall of Omens. Especially since you can flicker them for more card draw.
