Having 4 defense is great, they can't lightning bolt you, and it should last you a few turns to power up and get the right cards you need. Plus this is a Turn 1 colorless. With the new Scars set out artifact cards may help out other combos as well. Solid 4.5/5.

Was a staple in my friend's control deck, with 4 toughness it will withstand even Watchwolf, and few burn spells can reach 4 damage this early

Its also an artifact to boot, can be used in Metalcraft or affinity decks

Tougher than a Wall of Wood and more flexible as well. There are better one-drop Defenders — Perimeter Captain comes to mind — but this is solid. 4/5
