Stricktly better than Ghoulflesh

Amazing flavor here. I feel like this is the perfected form of Weakness :D
I defo hope they keep this mechanic in Black from now on. It works much better here than in Red.

Pacifism as understood by black. Although how the in-between is Pillory of the Sleepless is anyone's guess...

Honestly this is probably one of the better black control cards I've seen I say it's better than Stabbing Pain. Obvious target would be something with defender or a one toughness creature. But you hit a Serra Angel or anything with vigilance it kills whatever tactical advantage the creature had.

That is not what "strictly better" means.

"That is not what 'strictly better' means."

You're right... but let's face it, it IS strictly better than Ghoulflesh.

I personally love this card due to getting it in pre-release and acting as an answer for anyone who drew a Stuffy Doll.

Well, this card is usually better than Ghoulflesh (however, in a draft I once played a Ghoulflesh on my opponent's Heirs of Stromkirk so I could block it with a black creature). It's definitely at its best when used to kill a 1-toughness utility creature (e.g. Lotus Cobra, Arbor Elf, Birds of Paradise). You can also use it on a creature with defender to effectively remove it or on a creature your opponent doesn't want to attack with (Kraken Hatchling, Shield Dancer). Not great, but definitely playable in limited.

Should be rated higher.

If Pacifism is a good card, then Crippling Blight should be better. It has half of the effect for half the cost of the card plus a persistent -1/-1 debilitation. Can't knock that.

Also, consider: It's a one-drop for the ability to eliminate your opponent's biggest monsters from 50% of all combat.

The power scale appears to be...

{1}: Target creature cannot attack, or target creature cannot block.
{2}: Target creature cannot attack or block.
{3}: Target creature cannot attack, block, or use activated abilities, or target creature is destroyed.

Art is also pretty cool.

If you're doing black aggro, it's as good as removal anyway. Just kill them before they kill you!

If you put this on a creature with defender, the creature gets completely nullified!

Destroys Vigilance. That deserves a 3.0, you guys aren't looking at this right.

This card could be really good with the Rakdos Unleash mechanic. Doubles as weenie/chump removal and stops larger creatures from being able to block at all while reducing the damage they will do to you if you tap out.

So underrated. This is an excellent option for exalted decks who need to sneak around blockers. Not so much against token decks, but you already knew that.

Ironclaw Curse, you're back!

Eats utility creatures, causes fat to be unable to block. Seems ok for limited options and possibly for Fear/Intimidate decks, as this could get rid of one of the guys who *can* block you.
