Honestly, I don't think the mana cost is worth it.

Yeah, it isn't if you're just going naked Pests. The real fun begins when you include some sacrifice effects in your deck.

The cost is not worth it? True if you compare it to Sacred Mesa or Snake Basket. But this engine is one of the cheapest for REUSABLE artifact token generation.

Better than Breeding pit in many cases too.

I use this with Bubble Matrix and Worship. If all your creatures die, make a token so the worship protects you.

I used to use diamond kaleidoscope but this is cheaper, even though you cannot sac them for mana.

I think it's an OK card... not very efficient, though, at only having the capacity to generate one per turn; If it didn't have to tap, it would probably be a much larger 'nuisance'

Could be good with a Master of Etherium or two on the field =

Anything that can make a steady stream of tokens is playable in my book. Bring on the pest control.

I've used this to generate cheap stuff to devour, and accidentally the other day for an infinity combo with ashnod's altar and dross scorpion to make my glassdust hulk an unblockable beast.

@Kirbster

Read the card again

"Put a 0/1 colorless Pest artifact creature token onto the battlefield."

The tokens have the creature types of both "pest" and "artifact".

Sorry to be a little nit picky but artifact is not a creature type :-\

This card is a decent token engine (sac, transmute, tinker, etc.)... its too bad it taps every time but I guess it would be broken if it didnt

@Zacch: they're different. Nuisance Engine is a non-creature artifact, which makes it harder to kill off. Nuisance does not require green mana to cast. And Nuisance produces artifacts as opposed to elves, which can be useful. For instance, Nuisance Engine can feed a Yawgmoth Demon, Imperious Perfect can't.

"artifact" is not capitalized in the token definition, thus it is a type, not a subtype. "Pest" is capitalized, indicating that it is a subtype.
So, written out in conventional format, the type line of the token would be "Artifact Creature - Pest"

I have this card in my cube. I made some 0/1 Pest tokens with embarrassing pictures of the main people I normally cube with.

This card is what enables Arcum Dagsson to fetch you whatever high-cost artifact you want. Yep, even Gleemax!
