They can play me like a harp. "Wow, look at that. I like unblockable creatures. Yes please."

It's like they just designed cards for Venser, the Sojourner to work with. I'm not complaining though, I love creatures with effects when they enter play.

My favorite strategy = evasive creatures of all sizes. I believe the sound I made when I saw this card was "EEEEEEE!" Silly name, though. "Invisimancer" just seems lazy, creatively speaking.

2/1 with evasion. That always was more than playable in limited. It's hard to beat that kind to evasion, and it brings even more evasion on CITP. Evasive creature is evasive, i guess.

I wanted to compare this creature to equivalent component cards (re: Cadaver Imp ), but I had some difficulty.
The closest I can say is that he's a Coral Merfolk + an Infiltrate, but that's not really true, as Coral Merfolk isn't unblockable. In fact, if you look for 2/1 creatures, only a few have evasion, and they eachhave a drawback (however slim).
Actually, this conclusion just led me to like him more. This + Infiltrate + one bonus point of power is well worth the cost, IMO. A solid common.

He's a freaking traitor is what he is. Sold us out to go work for the Phyrexians!
Why do I think of the Bed Intruder song when I see him?

As a big Phantom Warrior fan (yeah, I enjoy my unblockables; so sue me!), this just makes me giddy. Not quite strictly better since it's lacking 1 toughness, but really, there are so few matchups where that would be a significant drawback. I can see it being a hindrance against the large number of red 1-damage CIP creatures or (obviously) pinger decks, but even then, the extra unblockable swing with whatever you have on the table, plus the variety of combat damage (or just damage) triggered effects in blue in my opinion make this more than worth it.
I find it strange that this guy is rated ever so slightly lower than Phantom Warrior at the moment though. (We're talking around 0.019* difference, but still.)

@Scumbling1: maybe the mark is Mirran, but he loves to work with infect creatures. Therefore he is a traitor to his side.

This one's also a Human Wizard rather than an Illusion Warrior like Phantom Warrior which just became more relevant thanks to Lord of the Unreal. Even so, unless I was playing an Illusion deck, I'd almost always choose this card. Not sure it'll ever see the light of a Top 8, but it has sure done enough damage in casual for me!

The cornerstone of my unblockable deck. Makes my scroll thieves unblockable, too, so I get some card advantage.

DEFFINATLEY earned its place in my Splinterfright deck. Would I like to make my 12/12 Splinterfright unblockable this turn? Yep! :P There goes another turn 4 win.

For my part, I'm rating this card lower than Phantom Warrior because it has an extremely stupid name. Some linguistics so you people understand what I'm talking about: On TV Tropes they have a page called "Whatevermancy" (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Whatevermancy), where they clarify that the term "___mancy/mancer" is usually a misnomer: "Similarly, -mancer and -mancy seem to have been derived from the well-known "necromancy", even though in the original Greek they come from the word manteia, meaning "divination". The "-mancy" template originally referred to the practice of divining the future using whatever the prefix was as a medium. So a classical necromancer would ask important questions of a dead person's spirit, a pyromancer would look for important symbols in flames, and so on. The proper suffix for someone magically manipulating a substance, force, or entity would be "-urgy" and "-urge" which derives from érgon or "work"."
But that's not the only part of the name that's stupid. "Invisiblilty" comes from the Latin word "invisibilis", which is composed of "in" (non), and "visibilis" (visible), so to be "invisible" is simply to be non-visible. But the word is inflected completely inappropriately in this chimera of a title. In the Wiktionary article on the Latin word "visibilis", they have a list on the inflection of "visibils". With basis on that list, I would guess that the "proper" way this title would be, would be "invisibiliturgist".
TL;DR: I think the name is stupid because *reasons*.

I used to use this for guaranteed hits with infect creatures. On it's own, this card can be pumped with Tainted Strike or Grafted Exoskeleton, but it's real charm was in allowing your creatures who already had infect to break through and hit the opponent. Putrefax and Skythyrix, the blight dragon were great targets for the Invisimancer's bonus ability.
This tactic was soon out-shined later by control decks, that could simply run Inkmoth Nexus and Kessig Wolfrun or Untamed Might to hit harder, faster, and more efficiently. Oh how I hated those decks. They'd use Day of Judgment and then swing in for game after pumping the inkmoth. I had to run copies of Bramblecrush just to get rid of wolfrun, or Doomblade to get rid of Inkmoth, and even then, that was only if the opponent couldn't stop me from doing so, which was unlikely considering the deck specialized in blue despite splashing for wolfrun. Very unfun to play against, but much more efficient then my strategy.
Whoa, I got way off-topic with this card. Anyway, aside from infect, it can be useful for other creatures too, such as Kiln Fiend. I'd play that first, then play this next turn + Burst of Speed, giving the unblockable bonus to the Kiln Fiend and swinging in for 6 unblockable on turn 3-4. Running Ghostly Flicker or Cloudshift on the invisimancer can repeat this process for more damage (and up) on later turns =)
