This is one of three new blue cards I actually like.

Not neccessarily new, but I agree, the new blue is rather underwhelming really

Mythic staus? Really? I don't see taking an extra turn as being something worthy of mythic. It could have definitely replaced an awful rare, like Hive Mind.

Cards like this make me want to splash blue in every deck I build or consider building. The kind of damage you could do with a double turn and a Godsire or a Planeswalker is just brutal.

★★★☆☆ (3.1/5.0) (7 votes)
The fact that it's targeted makes it vulnerable to things like Shunt, Swerve, and Wild Ricochet. If your opponent is packing any of those when you cast this, he could potentially steal your extra turn.

@UltimaCenturion

That's kind of asking for alot. This card is powerfull enough on it's own, there are more things to do in a turn than just play spells. Nobody needs uncommon Time Walks (which are contenders for the best cards ever printed) floating around.

★★☆☆☆ (2.0/5.0) (10 votes)
This is Time Walk for 3 more mana. This card just shows how heavily overpowered Blue is. Black is my favorite color, and it is the most underpowered color this go around. Red has Lightning Bolt & cards like Swerve or Shunt (counters w/twist), White has Path to Exile, Baneslayer, etc, Green has elves/faeries which has always been a tournament staple, as well as its intense synergy with White now, and Blue... is something every player has to play now. Doom Blade isn't that good as you can regen the creature, Lilliana Vess is not the best planeswalker by far... I could go on. For 5 mana, black gets Rise From The Grave. Wtf?

This + Radiate - is that as pointless a combo as it seems on first glance, in a multiplayer game? If you could stack the extra turns as you wished, that could make for an interesting multiplayer effect. Don't know if that is a legal move, though...

In answer to the issue of why black can't have something like this, taking extra turns is an ability that falls into blue's section of the color pie. Time magic in general isn't something that black specializes in, and so black doesn't need cards like this. And as far as the accusations of blue being overpowered, have you even seen Baneslayer Angel? Or Jump, for that matter? Get your head on straight. I agree that black is also lacking, but to call blue number one this time around is absurd.

blue is over all, just weak, there are a few gems, but any deck that is blue, will be blue second and probally white firsts, or maybe black

we will see how it goes, if blue will get any power back, the real reason blue was nerfed was the fey, but those are gone now, some maybe WotC will let up and let blue get back some strength, there are some possibilities, but they depend on what comes in worldwake and the following set in the block

Black does have its own take an extra turn. Temporal Extortion. Either way, the opponent takes a hit from that.

I agree with ValenceTheElectron about black being under powered. Why can't they find a way to make a card like this black. I have only found one card that acts some what like this and Sen Triplets (it's Sorin Markov) but I have to wait until Zendikar is released to use it. Start powering up black!

Those of you complaining about it being mythic, play against it.
Those of you complaining that blue is being smacked in the face, play in a tourniment.
Now if this was an instant, no one could honestly say is wasn't overpowered. I want an instant speed extra turner WotC!!!

i have to agree that black is seriously getting worse...i mean, dreg reaver and zombie goliath? i think they're running out of ideas for black. black is also getting really sucky mythics...kalitas is just impratical with it's mana cost, and ob nixilis has only three toughnesss...a bolt can kill it already. vampire nocturnus is good, i agree, but it only works in vampire decks, while the cards the other colors are getting are so darn flexible...baneslayer is a staple in any tournament deck that plays white, time warp is useful in almost every situation, green has overrun, which is a game ender most of the time. red is just awesome now, but i think it is getting a lot harder to build a mono black deck now...

"I play...TIME WAARRPP!!!" (looks at me with that REALLY smug smile on his face).

of course, there's countering to but come on. twincasting an opponent's time warp is geat fun :D

A very powerful card, to be sure. An extra turn for five mana is great, I'm surprised that some people are complaining about it. Think about it. For five mana you get everything that comes with a new turn. So it's Draw a card (or more if you have card draw), untap all lands and creatures (including mana sources for even more mana), get another attack, activate a Planeswalker AGAIN, etc. It's great, and powerful just how it is.

@kittyspit: Why not have your cake and eat it too? Twincast AND Negate (or similar) an opponent's Time Warp. :D

Edit:
@FirstPrime

I guess you're right. I'm being a little selfish. And I didn't realize that you could potentially free mana for counters as WELL as attacking extra with this. But still, I'd prefer it if it costed 1 less (at which point it would be a bit worthy of its mythic status,) and its a tad bit to slow for not THAT great an effect (though that is a great effect) to be mythic, especially with a color well known for its slowness. Though I could actually use it in the new RU deck I built. :D

Edit:
You know what, forget my complaints against this. This is a wonderful card, and taking extra turns is absolutely awesome. (Especially in my red blue highlander that once took 7 turns in a row for 12 mana.)

Panoptic Mirror for game. Any card that has a 2 card combo that can easily hit turn 4 is a 5* and deserves mythic status. Baneslayer's earliest hit is turn 3 and there's nothing to my knowledge that lets you auto-win the next turn. So, Baneslayer Angel doesn't deserve to be mythic if Time Warp doesn't deserve to be mythic. Also, think about how SICK this card is in those silly planeswalker parade decks that run 6 different planeswalkers. Time warp basically gives you 6 more spells without tapping any mana, it's GOOD and players who think it isn't are the types of people that ran Jund a year ago and the types of people that run Valakut Ramp right now.

Time Warp is so fantastic. You just have to break it down - for 5 mana you get:

1. An extra card draw
2. An extra land drop
3. An extra combat phase
4. An extra activation of any activated ability that's limited to one per turn (tap abilities like Cunning Sparkmage, and planeswalker abilities for example)

And, of course, it enables a lot of potential infinite combos. Panoptic Mirror is arguably the easiest, but there's plenty that work - and what's great is that Time Warp is such a playable card on its own that even if you don't draw the combo it's still a great card to play. I included it in a deck that uses the awesome synergy of Venser, the Sojourner and Eternal Witness, and while there is the infinite combo there, I'm never dissatisfied in just drawing the Time Warp. Extra turns are that good!

@OpenSeasonNoobs - are you kidding? You're saying that people who have the common sense to run top tier decks can't tell that Time Warp is good? That's just silly. Most of these players would say that Time Warp is great; it's just that at 5 mana you can't force it into any Ux deck you make - that's not because Time Warp is bad; that's just because there are usually some very aggressive decks in standard that can win before then.

Are there any rulings on how this card works in formats where more than one player takes there turn at the same time (e.g. Archenemy, Two-Headed Giant)? Does it give all players on that team a second turn, or just the one who played Time Warp?

Strictly Temporal Manipulation, except it can target. I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse, because it can be Swerved, but because you can help an ally out.

Here's how: When your opponent casts Time Warp, Fork it. He takes a turn after his current one, but your instant on the stack means you take a turn after the one he's on, so he takes his turn after you take your Forked one after his... Einstein was right! Einstein was right!!!

I'm not big on infinite combos, so I'll say how else to use this: Merfolk Aggro.

The flavor text tells you exactly how to use it as well, you attack with your mana open, they eat the damage and think the game is close, then you say "Nah, I'll just kill you now", untap, cast another lord, hit them for another 6-12. Aggro loves this as much as control if they're making their land drops.
