That's nice and all.. but thats kind of an insane mana cost, going to take forever to play this.

unpractical in any normal 1v1 game, but could be used to good effect in multiplayer. Regardless of what situation you're in though, dropping this down in a free-for-all multiplayer will net you a TON of aggro from other players.

Dragon factory! I can't decide whether this or Dragonmaster Outcast is better for manufacturing endless dragons. The Dragonmaster's effect is essentially free given that you have enough land, but Dragon Roost is a normally harder to get rid of. I guess I could always just use both.

this card is very good late game, but early game it is useless
combine this with emblem of the warmind and your opponent is in trouble

Reminds me of Warcraft 2, which is one of the best PC games ever made. The card itself is expensive, but useful in some situations.

@Donovan, I think you're missing the point here.

It makes dragons.

It seems my primary strategy is no longer adequate..... I will have to move on to plan B..... in two turns.

Before there were obnoxious things like Planeswalkers, bombs took at least an extra turn to detonate, which made for more thrilling games in my opinion. Seriously, there was a more satisfactory feeling in coming back by getting this enchantment online than there is by going say, "Untap. Upkeep. What do I get? OH SWEET! 'Nicol Bolas. Steal your dude. Pass the turn.'"

If you're playing red it's not like you'll have anything else to play late game, so might as well make a few dragons.

hmm has some potential in RG ramp or Naya. could also be interesting with Rhys the redeemed

It seems like it could work well with Seething Song and/or Geosurge

I run it in my dragon casual deck with lotsa mana ramp.
Good card late game in casual when you're topdecking. Either you grab something usefull or you just plop out a dragon from this guy =)

Geosurge won't work at all with this, since activating the ability isn't casting a creature spell. Seething Song would work somewhat, but you really need reusable mana ramp to make this worthwhile-- A ritual would only let you get one dragon out, and this costs way too much if you're only getting one dragon out of it.

I remember back in revised days wishing there was a way to make a decent dragon deck. If somebody had told me you'd be able to make dragon counters I wouldn't have believed it. Then if they'd told me the counters would be shivans minus firebreathing I'd have asked for a hit of whatever they were smoking.
