Sorry guys but Kinship? Tribal? This card has so incredible array of options that it will fit anywhere. For few examples Slivers, Assembly-Workers or Saprolings with Thallids, then its also useful for creatures like Death Baron or Lullmage Mentor or or... with right cards, you can have incredibly flexible or powerful creature for just . So talk about classical Lorwyn ways :). And Talshor, Kinship doesnt work with that because its activated when you have right crature on top of your library.

@Neutralion- Kinship ability works when the revealed card shares a type with the card with kinship. So basically yeah kinship would work if a creature was revealed.

Works wonders in multiplayer alongside Coat of Arms or in any tribal deck, as others have already stated.
Ruined Stalactite Artifact - Equipment Equipped creature gets +1/+0. Whenever equipped creature attacks, sacrifice Ruined Stalactite at end of turn. Equip "What are you gonna do, GLUE it back on?!" - Colin, retired geologist.
Your Lord of the Unreal wants this to lord itself over...um...itself. Your Angelic Overseer wants this so she can feel a little...more human? Your Ludevic's Test Subject wants this so it can breathe deeper amidst the Moonmists. Your Mortarpod Germ token wants this so it can wear Avacyn's Collar and make a bold new fashion statement at Puresteel Paladin's upcoming gala event. An exploding fashion statement. In other words, the best kind of fashion statement.

Should've been a Tribal Artifact - Shapeshifter Equipment. That would've been perfect.

This was a great constructed card with tribal. The problem with saying it's good in constructed tribal decks is that your creatures should already mostly be of the chosen tribe, and an added +1/+1 just doesn't seem worth the total 3 mana investment. There are corner cases of course like the zombie/Grave Titan interaction Paleopaladin mentioned.
So if you hold it with the pointy side up, does it become a Ruined Stalagmite?

Don't forget Changeling! Then again, they evaded the keyword of the card as is, since it looks like they planned on reprinting it in a set that doesn't use that keyword (similarly to Mutavault). That's probably the reason why they didn't make it tribal... bummer. I'd have loved to have a Changeling artifact.
