Shockland foreshadowing? I sure hope so.

Many people are hoping for Shocklands. If they aren't in Return to Ravnica, they're in From the Vault: Realms. Either that or everyone is quitting Wizards en masse and finding ANOTHER company to make Magic.

Nobody but an imbecile quits Magic while we're on freaking RAVNICA. But I could see people impeaching Wizards and voting in new Makers of Magic.

Wizards major trolled us with cards like this! Got our hopes up for Shocklands. Hopefully dual lands with Basic Land sub-types (not necessarily reprints of the original Shocklands) will appear in Return to Ravnica!

Well, there wasn't exactly room for the shocklands in this set, not unless WotC was willing to crimp one rare from each color (the other five slots would be displacing the Glacial Fortress cycle). So RTR almost certainly is shockland-packed. This is Exhibit A. Exhibit B is Gem of Becoming.

I guess Rampant Growth was just too good, so they decided to not allow us to search for Forests. But if the Shocklands are returning, then this will be actually be much better since we won't be limited to basic lands. Otherwise, this hype will be a huge disappointment.

How funny would it be if Wizards didn't reprint the shocklands and are just trolling the crap out of us with cards like this......

"In this case, I can say confidently that playing these lands in concert with Return to Ravnica is very cool and is worth the cost of having the same old cards legal in Standard for another year."

Zac Hill, about the reprinting of M10 lands

I don't think they are gonna reprint the shocklands. They have said that they want to make Ravnica less easily colorfixed. They won't reprint the Sigils, either. They should, however, make duals that have the land types.

Forget shocklands, this card is good in any green multi-color deck.

@NinjaGod. Well we know that's not the case now. But that would have been a total dick move.

@JackTheStripper

Irregardless of whether the shocklands were reprinted, they have never said this.

Hmmm...

Farseek was printed originally in Ravnica, City of Guilds.

Hmmmmm....

It gets printed before the throw-back set of Ravnica comes out.

HMMMMMMMMMMMM.......

I DON'T SEE THE COINCIDENCE.

Outwit can be used to counter this, right? Because it targets a player by using their library, yes? If not, there should be a one-drop counterspell for soreceries.

In my opinion, it's just a better Rmpant Growth because of Shocklands. You won't need to be grabbing a Forest if you're mono-green, and this can be played in Standard.

@myztikrice
I hope you're trolling by saying "irregardless"

I love reading the speculation on this before the Shockland reprints were unvelied.

Someone tell me why I should run these in my $600 standard deck? I see everyone and their dog using them, every card in the deck is value-town except these. All buddy could say to me was "It's Rampant Growth for shocklands. And?

Nvm. Just realized the card I listed doesn't work with this card.

@Silence9: I think I may have popped a blood vessel reading your comment. $600 spent on a single deck, and you can't figure out why this card is good? In the context of Innistrad/RTR Standard, this card was king. Mana ramp and fixing in the same card rarely costs any less than three mana, and in a format with many high-cost, multicolored cards like Prime Speaker Zegana and Sphinx's Revelation, this was a godsend. In tandem with Arbor Elf, you could ramp like there was no tomorrow. If you're knocking this card, you've obviously never stared down a turn 3 Thragtusk.
