Great card for multiplayer game politics (assuming you don't play mono-black).

Great with Leyline of Singularity, especially if it is in your opening hand along with a Dark Ritual :D

How would Leyline of Singularity work against the centaurs? I might be misunderstanding the legendary rule

It would make the Centaurs cease to be, pretty much.

Clearly a net gain even if you can't easily get rid of one or more of the Centaurs, and amazing for the cost if you can. A splash of red should do the trick, especially with Lightning Bolt back in Extended. This should be played more.
@Bamboonickel: You are mistaken. If not otherwise specified, tokens have names which are the same as their creature type. These tokens are both named "Centaur" and would thus legend-kill each other with Leyline of Singularity in play.
If you play this on turn 2, play a Necroplasm on turn 3 to wipe the tokens. Alternatively, cast both on turn 5 (or sooner if you have acceleration) to get rid of the tokens immediately.
Yay, for a 2 drop 7/7! It has a drawback but that's easily Stifled or turned to your advantage with cards like Gather Specimens, Leyline of Singularity, Tainted Æther, Whiplash Trap, or even simple removal/burn. All in all, worth every 3/3 centaur token they get.
I'm not sure I like how the card comes together. The cost says "Play me in Mono-Black." The drawback says "Dear God, please, don't play me in Mono-Black!"

For those who don't know, Richard Garfield designed this cycle (http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/af85). What a man full of ideas. Wizards employs plenty of brilliant people, but none of them move from idea to idea as quickly as Richard.
I hope we learn what individual cards from Innistrad he designed.

It just hit me: this and the rest of the hunted cycle would be awesome in multiplayer!!! You team up with someone to kill someone else, and by the time you're facing your opponent you gifted, their little tokens will probably have died!

One of my favourite cards in Magic is Phyrexian Dreadnought. This is a sort of fixed version: two mana (both colored) instead of one, 7/7 instead of 12/12, but black and nonartifact so that it is less removable. GREAT!
Torpor Orb, finding so many ways to make this card useful...

Keep in mind that trample gets around the centaurs, even though they have damage prevention. Trample only cares about how much damage would be lethal to a blocker before any prevention takes effect. So, this is usually a pretty good deal, even if you don't have a fast way to get rid of those centaurs when you cast this.

Your opponent will regret the day they used Witchbane Orb.

This is worth it in a multi-color deck. Works best in a black-blue-green with graft. If you play it early in combo with Vigean Hydropon and the trigger ability on Novijen Heart of Process, it becomes a 9/9 with trample. And then play Triumph of Cruelty and watch your opponent weep. Ah, the power of the agro-control-combo deck.

Can be sideboard against leyline of sanctity in a discard deck, there are many ways around it's drawback.
That said, this looks very similar in art style to cosmic horror, I like the homage <3 (notice that they're both 7/7s as well!)

I actually play this in Mono Black. Considering I run a sacrifice deck with full playsets of Innocent Blood and Smallpox and run a pair of Mutilates and three Grave Pacts too it usually isn't much of a problem.
