Indeed. Pity this card is that expensive, it does a nice job with Landfall triggers. Allows you to fetch all your basic lands with Lotus Cobra and Emeria Angel or Rampaging Baloths.

Token decks absolutely love this card. Sacrifice a token to fetch more mana to buy more tokens? Why not!

Well-known combo with Bloodghast... Mostly for casual, I guess.

awesome combo with this card using Bloodghast, and Pawn of Ulamog. You can put every land in ur deck in play in one turn.
I say throw it in a deck with Emerie Angel and Amulet of Vigor. Turn 6ish you could have all the land in your deck in play and usable. Talk about a nice advantage. And for Green/White the mana accel would be nice to begin with.

I cant believe that no one has noticed that it dosnt say basic land card. It says land with a basic land type. This may seem not consequential, but you could technically serch for the ravnica shock lands or the origional dual lands that actually have the basic land types.

What is the flavor of this card? That the land FELL ON HER!? XD

@Necrokeryx based off of the flavor text, presumably someone got lost and mugged to death. On the bright side, you found a tropical island

I've got a question about this card in conjunction with some others...
Do Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and Blood Moon affect all cards, or just those in play (i.e. in your library)? If they affect all cards, this could be used to pull out any card from your library.

I'm suprised this didn't see a reprint in Zendikar. Not only does it synergise with the set's big mechanic, the flavour fits Zendikar perfectly- perhaps even better than it did Ravnica.

I want to go to Ravnica. Because in almost every art with a woman in it, breasts,
Sac the Finks for as much land as you have in play, gaining that much life and doubling your land base. End of your opponent's turn, do it again, and basically have every land you own in play.

Scantily-clad hottie brunette makes me wish that card images on this site were much larger to better appreciate the artwork.

I'm afraid you can't play with this card, it's much too perilous.
... No, you still can't, even if you rather like peril.

Unfortunately, mana ramping just isn't as useful when you can already cast your win condition.
@helluin: I'm not sure, but I think those cards only affect lands in play (lands as opposed to land cards).
"Damnation? Well, ok, in response I'll just sac everything and get all my lands out. You done? Ok, Genesis Wave."

Highly useful in EDH. Sac outlet and a search for basic land types, which covers dual lands and shocklands. Both of these are in high demand in a 100-card format.

@Studoku It's true, but MaRo said they had considered Mulch for Zendikar but thought it would be too strong. This would have been broken in that environment I think.
If that is Svania, then this is a cruel, cruel card. v_v

@Necrokeryx: Look in the background. Notice the horror lurking there? The idea is that your explorers are finding some rather nastiness-infested mana points--and they get killed by the eldritch denizens just as they send their findings to you.
