The artwork could be better (angels and thongs don't really go together) but I love the mechanic, and she's not too expensive either. 4/5

2/4 would have been a lot better. At a 3 body, in this Standard format, she'll be hard pressed to survive much.

I'd prefer if she was much smaller and we got 2/2 normal tokens.

Well there are actually no real rules that tell how an angel has to look like. I for my part like the artwork, that's angel enough for me. Also, "not too expensive" is understated - it's a 3/3 flyer for four mana with an awesome ability! It's only double-white colored too, and i'd play it over Luminous Angel most of the time.

This card took me to fourth place at the prerelease (with some assistance from Day of Judgement), which says something since I only started playing when M10 launched (the first games I played were under M10 rules, I was at the prerelease before I went to FNM).

I run this and rampaging baloths in a landfall/token deck. Harrow, Khalni Heart Expedtion, Oracle of Mul Daya. The endgame is usually this + beastmaster ascension, swing with many 9/9 beasties and many more 6/6 birdies. Possible names for this deck "The Birds and the Beasts"..."Birdie and the Beast"...

a 4 body ould have been nice but wizards probably wanted to make it vulnerable to more things. sux but thats how you make a game fair as possible.
I wasn't a big fan of the art either, just thought it was alright, but looking closer, it is truly amzing. great card want 4 so i can make tokens still.

I like the art, overall the card combos very well with pride of the clouds, and kangee, aerie keeper. Probably need to have some land fall'esque cards in your deck to make use of it though, I have a rampaging baloths and often times I summon it only to not get any lands for another 2 or 3 turns. Rampant growth or terramorphic expanse for starters.

I dont have one yet, so this is only my impression of it...
it is a 3/3 flyer for 4, on its own, that is alright, lightning bolt will kill it fast, but as with the sheperd, there is so much removal that 8 outta 10 times it will be hit with doomblade and you the lightning bolt
overall, I say it is good, in a format where there is 100 diferent removal spells, this is weak to 101 different spells
edit: I LOVE THE ARTWORK, awesome blue wings and who cares about the thong, why are you even looking perv

It's great that she gives you Suntail Hawks, but with a 3 Toughness she is kinda weak. Gotta beef her up to survive.

In Planeswalker Primer: Zendikar: Landfall, this used real bird tokens with artwork. Kowever, they are not in database.

Lovely art, awesome creature.
@Lestat13, there already is a creature in Zendikar that produces 2/2 tokens.

The way I see it, this card forces the opponent to decide, "Do I terminate, lightning bolt, etc. this now? - or do I save my removal for Baneslayer Angel, Admonition Angel, etc.?"
If they kill her they risk letting the bigger white threats slip through the cracks, and if they don't you get potental overswarm. Sure she can be bolted, but if they haven't already used their bolts early game then they're sacrificing a bolt on this so that you can play your weenie more effectively.
Really, she's something that you can't just ignore but is expensive to take care of. She forces tough decisions and no-win situations. That is why she's a good card, not the occasional free Suntail Hawk.
It would be better if it would be named to porn angel

Man, I still haven't pulled one of these, but i've pulled two admonition angels, three avenger of zendikars, a warren instigator, an obsidian fireheart, two eternity vessels, and an ob nixilis. But not this stinking card!! I want this angel so much, it will be perfect for the four spot! It seems like a lot of the good angels cost 5 or more which is understandable but annoying. I have a sphinx angel deck and I need some more 4 spots. Actually if anyone has any suggestions I appreciate it. I play mostly casual, so it can be from any set really, except nothing too pricey.

Very good fun. She can be very annoying in a landfall deck if you can't get rid of her: emeria angel drops, a couple of landfall triggers go off, and suddenly you're staring down an awful lot of weenie fliers ready to either heroically chump block ad nauseam or swing for the kill. Probably not tough enough for serious play (although might be with honor of the pure, which would up her and her birds), but terrific fun in casual, particularly if you're looking to abuse landfall: last night, in my blue/white/green landfall deck, she came out just as both my khalni heart expeditions went off simultaneously Ouch).
Considering how many ways there are to achieve multiple landfalls in a turn, a play set of these in your deck allows mass flying token production starting at just 4 cmc. Heck 2 of these in play with something as basic as evolving wilds gets you two birds for what is essentially a 1 drop. Plus you just slimmed down your deck giving you a chance to draw something decent with your next draw trick. And if your really worried about removal spells why not try giving it shroud? A well timed safe passage keeps the angel and your chump blocking bird tokens and you alive for at least another turn. This card is almost newb proof.

Luminous Angel costs seven mana. Seven. Including an extra white over this. It has only +1/+1 over this. It does not have the ability to make multiple flyers in a turn, in exchange for a slightly more consistent turnover rate. The bigger angel even makes tokens of a slightly less relevant creature type. Luminous Angel used to be considered good. Stop complaining that this card could be better. You think you'll have trouble keeping your cards alive? In white? What? Silly Gatherites.
Yes, this is 100% solid, and very much over the curve. Even if she bites the bullet, no doubt you'll have fetchlands waiting in the wings to give you more than your card investments worth. If you know what you're doing, you're never left empty handed here. Hell, drop her by turn four in an aggro-control, and you'll generate enough tokens to put anyone on a serious clock. By herself. Doesn't a four mana win condition mean anything to anyone?
Probably the easiest way to do this repeatably is with the ravnica bounce lands and fetch lands. A 3/3 flier for 4 is good, but the prospect of birds is what makes her worth it. Otherwise you would have to compare her to other very strong four drops like Guardian Seraph, but in my mind if you are comparing something to Guardian Seraph then you are looking at a very good card.

This thing is scary. Seriously. You think, "Oh, it's just a 3/3 flyer, I'll save my Lightning Bolts." And then your opponent gains obscene amounts of life, gets complete lockdown, and murders you slowly and painfully with birds. It's like freaking Alfred Hitch***, but WORSE!!!!!
