This card with Megrim is a scary combo. Use Undo on an opponent with an empty hand, ouch. Two creatures down and damage from Megrim. Yay!

Undo?? No no! You're thinking too small! How about a Wash Out? Got a discard funnel? How about SUNDER! If you've got this and a megrim out, lol.

youre the one thinking too small, why wash out against a multi coloured deck, or sunder, when you can Upheaval or Worldpurge with megrim out, in a lot of games that would tie it out.

Neither Warped Devotion nor Megrim will be of any use to you if you return them to your hand. :P

This reprint completely fails to represent the card's flavor. And no, I don't care that it offers a different interpretation, because it doesn't work at all.

First, sorry for my english. I have a mono black discard deck. In the deck have 3 Noetic Scales but I have a question. If the opponent have only 1 card in your hand but Noetic Scales return to him hand 3 permanents, my opponent only discard these card or the first 2 card's returned from the game for the Noetic Scales too?
Thanks a lot.

WOW! I didn't know this card existed. I enjoy unsummoning my opponent's creatures -- it's one of the most annoying tactics in Magic, and this card makes it hurt.
By the way, weren't Eighth edition cards just so desaturated and ugly? It's a good thing that WotC got it right after that.
I can't believe nobody mentioned Recoil! I bounced a Penumbra Wurm right after he drew, both cards in the graveyard, no token creature, and 4 damage from Megrim. Love this card.
Return a card? Ok, discard something, but then you can return that, but you'll have to discard,...
Instant emblem nullification.

This does NOT work against Tamiyo's ultimate. There's a difference between "permanent" and "permanent card", meaning this card only works for permanents on the battlefield being bounced, not permanent cards in the graveyard being raised. A permanent card isn't a "permanent" unless it is on the battlefield.

Awesome card is awsome. and under played.
@PD2525 No. warped devotion says "Permanent" not "Card". At first glance, i thought Planar Void would counter her emblem, but I don't think even that will do it.

Cavern Harpy? Doomsday Specter? Read Warped Devotion again!
Yes. It affects you too. So unless you're playing a Madness deck, those critters seem like a pretty bad idea.
I'm so very, very, sorry.
Just, um... don't be a goon and use it with Dimir Aqueduct. It's downright embarrassing to have your opponent point that out to you mid-game.
Not that I'd know or anything.

My favorite thing was to simply use this with Man-o'-wars to turn them into 3-mana Shriekmaws.
