The definition of a narrow hoser... it'll eat some decks alive and others won't care at all, with not a huge degree of middle ground.

It's good sb material for mill decks.

Got more use than Leyline of the Void, but that's mostly because of the environment.
Still probably a better a card.

No, I think Leyline of the Void is better. The only thing this has on that skill is mana cost. Leyline has an ability that allows it to be played for free, which kind of subverts the mana cost downside and only hurts your opponents. And in black, that second part is a big deal since if your graveyard is getting exiled you can't recur anything.

Is it just me or does that look like Skeletor?

It's too bad the rulings state that cards *do* hit the graveyard for an instant-
This would otherwise be an awesome combo with Energy Field...

This doesn't see play like Leyline of the Void largely because when you play Leyline it's game over for the deck you need it against (i.e. Dredge) and considering that Dredge can get some turn one wins you can simply mulligan aggressively to get a leyline in your opening. Many legacy decks don't have the consistent access to black (or at all) to play a card like this either.
Still, a good card for its day, even though there wasn't much in the way of graveyard strategies to hate.

Can be used to hose many decks. However, this doesn't hose dying triggers making it very interesting for/against black. If you rely on dying trigger but have no recursion, then this is for you.
Can be used to buff your own Treacherous Pit-Dweller at the same time. I think a 4/3 for {B}{B} is pretty neat.
This does prefer to be in your starting hand, so Leyline of the Void is generally preferable.. the advantage this has is that it hits your own graveyard AND that dying triggers still happen, so it can be used next to Gravepact and Mindslicer, for examples.
