Blocks the Lox, blocks the Ghor-Clan, and doens't give the Reckoner any damage to through around. Also procs Archangel of Thune everyturn and stalls nicely for Sphere of Safety. pi/5.

Also, fantastic job, Mrs. Nielsen!!

A part of me wishes this was a Goat. But at least we still have Trading Post...

Excellent card. Should be really good in Commander, as nobody will quite want to use removal on it, and people are also less likely to attack you because you have a tough blocker, and you'll gain life. Go golden fleece ram!

Now this is a game slower if ever there was one. It's really a big middle finger to red- out of range of most burn spells, keeps it's controller out of range too, and it even taunts red's inability to destroy enchantments. Cruel. If it was a goat, red could get it's revenge with Goatnapper...

Second sheep (card, not a token or anything) in all of MTG. First one wasn't even a sheep at the time it was printed, Rustspore Ram.

Now this is what I like to see. A nice early blocker that gains life. A 0/5 for two mana is right by me, and an enchantment that gains one life per turn for two mana is right by me. That's exactly what Ajani's Mantra is. 1 life can be underwhelming, but this Sheep is going to be played early and is going to stay on the board for a long time. Ajani's Mantra with a 0/5 attached? Yes, please.

I am NOT looking forward to facing this in the prerelease AT ALL. 4 toughness is hard to break, let alone five. And if it does stick around, that life loss is going to start adding up.

I am unreasonably excited about this card. There is basically no format or circumstance where this card isn't awesome against Aggro decks. Out of range of most Red burn spells, and super annoying for Black to have to waste a removal spell on it. And since it's not a Defender, you can enchant it and attack with it, too. This guy will stick around on the board, helping with devotion and gaining you 1 life a turn, for a long time.
PROS - It's a creature! A creature with a huge butt, as it so happens; a 0/5 stops tons of threats. - It's a sheep, and sheep are cute!
CONS - It's a creature; that makes it vulnerable to more removal than just a simple enchantment. - It's a sheep, and sheep are apparently weak. 0 power isn't doing it any favors, but at least it doesn't have defender.
Overall it's a better card than the Mantra, and is worth no less than a 4/5.

Dies to removal. On the upside, Your opponent dies on the inside using removal on it.

Even as an avid aggro deck player, I do like the creation of this card. It gives control decks that runs white some solid chance on staying alive long enough to pull their main game off. Simple, yet efficient card design. I like it.

<3 - I hope we get more animal cards in the future. Nothing ever quite makes me so happy as playing an ox or a goat - turning someone's things into pigs - now a sheep too!

I felt a great disturbance in the force, as though millions of aggro players cried out in frustration.

A guy at the prerelease pulled a foil of this. I traded him my promo Dawnbringer Charioteers for it. I still think I came out ahead. Gorgeous art.

Ayup. One match against an opponent with this ran to time. What an annoying wall. Even the damage you sneak through doesn't stick. Great card.

Tanks almost anything the early game can throw at you like an absolute boss, on top of a lifegain effect and looking fricking awesome. I love Kruphix's design and naturally i'm loving this as well.

Excellent sideboard card against Boros Burn; it's damn near impossible for burn to remove unless they want to 2-for-1 themselves.
I love this card; helps me stay alive long enough to pull off my combo. :)

This card is fantastic in limited. Picked it up in a draft the other night, and it would always gain 10+ life per game (and nobody wanted to waste precious removal on it.) Think about it this way: would you draft a card that says this?
Stupid-Good Ram Enchantment Creature - Sheep When ~ enters the battlefield, you gain 12 life. 0/5
Also, it has Terese Nielsen art. What's not to like? 4/5.
Whenever anything happens relating to this card its controller must say "BAAAA" or he/she loses the game.

Esper control was an easy match up for burn until this was printed. Burn's worst nightmare, a card they can never kill without 2+-for-1ing themselves and the lifegain erases the burn. A 2+ in most control sideboards. I prefer a playset as its good vs aggro too.

Honestly? I've actually used this against aggro. Believe it or not, its not that good. As it has 0 power, it doesn't stop them from attacking every turn, and if they have more dudes than you have Rams (in standard aggro decks run a lot of cheap dudes, they're going to unless they've already lost) they can just attack in over and over. This card will stem the bleeding a bit but it won't actually let you beat aggro-you need a creature that can block to kill something and live or a lot of removal for that, and having Rams in your deck actually just reduces your chances of drawing a card that can actually win you the game. Also, I've never gained more than 4 life off a Ram, and I've played them turn 2.
Also, strictly sideboard card. You will regret it if you have these guys mainboard against control or even monsters.

On a more serious note, White lifegain is getting pretty crazy between this, Hopeful Eidolon, Fiendslayer Paladin, Archangel of Thune, and Dawnbringer Charioteers.
