I will probably always remember this expansion for all of the amazing common creatures with CMC equal to one, it isn't the best one drop ever both versions are pretty mediocre but anything with multiple options is good in a draft.

Strictly better than Trained Caracal, which I played the hell out of in RTR drafts.

Can't be strictly better, Continue, Caracal gets tribal buffs. Cat's a notable creature type (see: Raksha Golden Cub.
It ALSO has a neat type, though, and it might do quite well in a spiritcraft deck.
Not to mention it has supercool abilities in the form of bestow. Which further differentiates it; it's weak to enchantment removal. Caracal isn't.

Certainly not a powerhouse, but flavorful and full of potential. The bestow cost is a bit on the expensive side, but still, not a bad guy to have around.

Great in an enchantment themed deck. Can be an early creature if you need something to attach to or an enchantment if you already have a creature on the board.

This creature is a lot worse than at first it might seem. You're almost never going to be truly happy to be playing a 1/1 and certainly not one without any real evasion. If you happen to pull it late-game it will double as an expensive lifelink Aura which could swing the game in your favor. If you draft it just hope you don't draw it early, and hope you have a good target for it later.

Ethereal armor works great with this. If you have two in hand plus this guy. He'll be a 7/7 lifelink attacking on turn two. Granted that's hoping for a really lucky opening hand, but this guy is a lot better than he first appears.

I hope I can play this in Constructed.

@Cloudchaser Kestrel, better than six turn two.. Seven lifelink. Each Ethereal Armor gives +1+1 for itself and an extra +2.+2 for the other E.A and the Enchantment creature!,I was caught out by this too! #SphereofSafety deck.

This is probably the only bestow creasture I've bestowed more than playing as a dude.

Turn 1 this, turn 2 Rancor and Ethereal Armor. Swing for 6/4 with first strike, trample, and lifelink. Madcap Skills or Lightning Talons makes it a 10/5 with either redundant first strike or the ability to dodge single blockers.

if it had "cannot be countered", it would almost be usable.

Turn one: Hopeful Eidalon.

Swing for seven lifelink damage. Turn three, play more enchantments. Guildscorn Ward, chained to the rocks, messenger's speed, the deck almost seems to build itself.
I love that someone with so much subtle flavor, can also serve so well. They really captured and enchantment creature's flavor here.
Edit. Seven! Thanks Towerdefender. :)
Maybe I just want to turn Serra's Sanctum into Tolarian Academy, but can you blame me?
Aggro-Enchantress anyone?
