If it was black it would have been a lot more usefull since it could be put into discarder decks.

You might put it into a cycling deck...

Works great in white Madness/Threshold decks. Could have higher than 1 toughness, though. C'mon.

Perfect for multiplayer.

This one drop may combo well with Ill-Gotten Gains, or serve as a decent response against the such.

Very devistating in multiplayer.

This + Nefarious Lich + Something like Zombie Infestation

As if Necropotence/Bargain decks weren't broken enough already, the synergy between this and Skirge Familiar and either of those enchantments is pretty insane. Since those two enchantments are limited to a format where it's easy to get any mana you want, it's not a problem that this is white. Very limited use otherwise, but the rating has to get a major bump for how it affects a major vintage deck archetype.

Works with Rites of stuff, Madness, Bloodrush, Cycling, Looting/Filtering effects, global discards, clerics (he's a cleric..), transmute, Foil, lots and lots of creatures that black has that benefit/cause discard, masticores, Sire of Insanity, Core Augur, Street Wraith

He should be given *some* credit; While mother of runes and devoted caretaker are standard to take up the slot; he can fit into astral slide for example.

Works with cycling. If you have out a fluctuator and your deck is chock full of Cycling (2) (with an elixir or two, of course), then you've bought yourself a lot of time.
