It's really funny when you read Rosewater's article about flavor text back when this card was new. A lot of people were and I suppose still are up in arms about this type of flavor text and this one in particular. They argue that it detracts from the imaginative side of the game. Others enjoy this type of flavor and its potential to lead to catchy phrases you can say as you play the card.

Green & Black using Plannar Void and this ape would be AWESOME!! Plus are other black cards that will allow one to empty their grave yard so black & green with this ape would be PERFERCT! And use Sinister Strenth on him or play using Darkest hour to stop some of the removal like Doom Blade & Terror...

I came here just to read comments about the flavor text! :) Anyway, it has become rather easy lately to remove whole graveyards from the game, but there aren't enough cards that reward you for having an empty one..

Gorilla Titan has a very interesting effect. I think Wizard should really think about a mechanic that works when you have no cards in your graveyard.
