um.. this is a very useful card in one instance, to play therva, the renewer especially in a deck that doesn't have the specialized manna devotion.

This cycle would be so much better if the ratios were closer to Composite Golem's.

@HairlessThoctar
Agreed, these would still be playable if they had costed less and you didn't have to pay to use thier ability.
Especially Dromar's Attendant, thanks to Esper being based on Artifacts.

Accelerates you into a turn 6 treva! Only land drops can keep up with that.

@DathParallax: No! It leaves A, B, U, R, W, BU, BR, BW, UR, UW, RW, BUR, BUW, BRW, URW and BURW decks capable of summoning Treva, the Renewer.

hm...the attendant's seem interesting. obviously the point they emphasize is that colorless and artifact ramp is probably going to be fairly widely available, whereas Colored Mana Fixing belongs entirely to either Artifacts that are too powerful, or Green. So the Green Attendants all simply pale next to Birds of Paradise, which even today can stand tall and proud next to Lotus Cobra as just slightly less power for much more reliability and versatility. BRG, RGW, GWU all can use Birds. leaves WUB and UBR to prove that Attendants are worth using. WUB has artifact abusers...which it would rather use on more oppressive artifacts. Like Blightsteel Colossus. This leaves Crosis' Attendant as the only one I care about. Use him with Sol Ring, and Rakdos, Izzet, and Dimir Signets. :)
tavaritz: So you think Color Haxxing Matters on these, do you? Here:
I think I'll stop there for Black. Some of these cards got bannings. At the time the Attendants were printed, I'm pretty sure most of them were available. The only color that's weak at MASSIVELY CHEATING is White. (Red is kinda bad at it too. two of those are only from Modern era sets. Some of those were before Modern but after Invasion. Still, most of them are Urza or Tempest era cards people perfectly well could thought of, which were probably even Standard or Extended Legal at some point.
