This card is fun. It starts out innocuously just out of bolt range. Then after playing Conqueror's Pledge it is suddenly a 8/10. And unlike many creatures that get crazy big, this one had an effect on your other creatures. Instant speed token generators like raise the alarm become mini permanent giant growths!

I like everything about this card except his wierd mount. And hey, I can get over that since I do like seeing weird mounts on other cards. Would've like a classic horse here, but it seems really greedy to complain about this card for any reason.

This needs to appear on a Magic card someday. Actually, rather than put it on a Ranger, where the overt Tolkien-reference would be even more obvious and heavy-handed, I think that line would be OUTSTANDING as 'the first Flavor Text to appear on a Planeswalker'.
