Its an extraordinary card when enchanted to one of your creatures, but only if that creature has troll shroud or regenerate, or something to keep it from getting killed.

Getting a creature every turn for free is one of my favorite mechanics of all time - breeding pit and luminous angel are good examples - but honestly, the only thing you could put this on is troll ascetic or plated slagwurm. Everything else will just be burned or bounced.

I'd slot a Mycoloth before this.

Note that unlike most cards like this you get the token EVERY upkeep, as opposed to just during each of your upkeeps.

It's Verdant Force in aura form.

awsome, verdent force for 5 and all you need is a creature. Hell, and that creature could be more durable than the force itself!

Too finalize the flavor, they should have had something like:

"Enchanted creature gets +X/+X, where 7-X was the creature's toughness when Verdant Embrace entered the battlefield."

Yes, this might actually make some fatties smaller, but hey, at least you have a real The Best Fattie Of All Time.

This partially solves auras when played at the right time. If they are tapped out, then you at least get one sapproling, and if you played it on a sapproling in the first place (or a tukatongue thallid, or a Mitotic Slime) then you have not lost card advantage. Just this to whatever removal they use. I like to play this with a vines of vastwood in hand, and I attack with an 8/8 if they use removal. Aura card disadvantage is magic 102. You can predict your opponents response to it, and have your own trump card.

Doubling Season likes this quite a bit. After a couple turns, hit an Overrun and send 'em swinging.

this card is great. combine it with Vitalizing wind after saving up tokens for a few turns.. you all of a sudden have 12 8/8 creatures! If you are playing EDH make sure thalon of havenwood is your commander or verdeloth the ancient

Slap this on a Dreampod Druid for a great many Saprolings.

Each Time Spiral card was an homage to at least one previously printed card.

The card references a cycle of auras from Urza's Saga which turned a creature into an iconic creature in that color; examples include Vampiric Embrace and Shiv's Embrace. This aura turns a creature into Verdant Force.

My friends and I did a Time Spiral draft recently, and it was down to me and one other guy. He had this in his deck. I lost.

Biomass Mutation says "hi, I hear you have some Saprolings?"
