For the love of all that is holy, can we get new art for this card?
Otherwise, as awesome as it ever has been. It took me a while to warm up to this, considering the cost, but then I realized how it was meant to be applied.
Question, when fling is copied through New Chandra or Reverberate, what happens? with Goblin Grenade you don't need to sacrifice a new goblin, but here the sacrificed creature's power matters, what happens?

Immolating Souleater, Fling, Revereberate. If you don't have a full life total to make this lethal, get down to 2 life (say via the Souleater) and Fling your Death's Shadow.

@EvilCartographer You are copying the spell if you copy it and it was going to deal 10 damage, the copy also deals 10 damage.

@Superllama12 Fling would do 10 damage if you flung a Death's Shadow when you were at 3 life, because Fling checks the creature's power based on the creature's last known existence on the battlefield.

Something wrong with the last comment by me.
Immolating Souleater, pump to 10/1. Swing and Fling.

You have not lived until you've had the satisfaction of flinging a Pandemonium-enabled Cosmic Larva at an opponent. Obviously a completely ridiculous combo, but fun in a casual setting.

So the other day I got this brilliant idea and used this on Boldwyr Heavyweights for the win.
Case in point, this card is more than a little playable.

Yeah, this art is ridiculous. But I happen to have several of the alternate DCI art, so I get by. Actually, that arts pretty cool.

@Lowenzorn You have answered your own question correctly. Fling requires the additional cost of a sacrifice and so once Humble is cast, it would have to choose a different target.

@Eliteninjasauce: Thanks for the response.
But now I wonder how it would play out if you Fling in response to a Soul's Fire or a Boros Fury-Shield being played on your creature. I recall reading the rules that for a spell to play out completely it must have a valid target upon casting AND when it resolves. But I hear people talking about "last known power on the battlefield" as well.
If I attack with a creature and my opponent uses Boros Fury-Shield on it and I respond with Fling before the fury-shield resolves, do I take damage from the fury-shield?

So if you used this on a Death's Shadow when you had three life, would it deal 10 damage, or 13 damage?
@6_Qubed: Yesh!!! Hurray for obscure song references from an old band!

Stop your Spikeshot Goblin one power short of wiping your opponent, use him, then fling.
I won a tournament battle using this on a Battle Cry-boosted Thopter token (courtesy of Thopter Assembly)...threw down a Teetering Peaks), attacked with a couple of Signal Pests and another Battle Cry card, used Rally the Forces. He blocked most of it, but I tossed one of my thopters at him to end it.

Nothing like flinging used ball lightnings.

Mortis Dogs
Bladed Pinions
Anything that boosts power. Anything at all.
Get your Mortis Dogs up to 6 or 7.
Swing. Fling. Win.
