This is an effect with a great deal of potential. In a weenie deck that can afford to lose much more than its opponents, this and a sacrifice engine can destroy everyone else's creatures while leaving a few of your own to attack.

Grave Pact V2.0. And it is white? I guess weenie decks want this badly, but it doesn't feel right. Should definitely go in Counterpunch.

A friend and I got into an argument over whether this reads tokens as 'creature' or 'token'. We never did settle it ><

@endersblade
"Creature" is a card type, however "Token" is not.
Martyr's Bond looks for a permanent that shares a card type.
This is almost disgustingly good. Academy Rectors everywhere will be fetching it left and right.

Seems like World Queller would be a great fit if you had extra X's laying around.

@Queegon It doesn't say that at all. You sacrifice your strip mine and select its target. When it hits the graveyard is when I have to sacrifice a permament and I will simply choose the land you had targeted.
@phatpack most of the cards from the pre-cons are better in another one. So people will buy them all or something. Also, are these angels from Zendikar? They have halos over their eyes #vorthos

Mycosynth Lattice or Enchanted Evening would allow this to always work... and to take out lands.

Karmic Justice and Gravepack had a baby. I guess I could see it as B/W, but it's still a powerful card. I just think it would fit in white/be less broken if it only counted cards sent to your grave by an effect your opponents control; but it seems like Magic has gotten extremely lenient with things like this, making cards as powerful and exploitable as possible.
It's like Grave Pact on crack! The flavour seems more black, as black will tend to do whatever it takes to beat someone, however white seeks to have a level field in a fight, so I guess that makes some sense. Great card and def. powerful in EDH, even if it isn't quite the monstrosity that grave pact can be, due to colour at the very least.

i stumbled upon this and probably like most i thought, "Is that an inclusive white grave pact that i'm seeing?!"

but this with Hellcarver Demon is better.
