Cheap proliferate for black infect, this is probably a good card. Maybe better in a Wither deck with Midnight Banshee.

It can almost be played for the artwork alone.

Kills lots of dudes, shrinks the rest significantly. I like; probably 4th pick.

Did you guys forget about your wild proliferate decks already? All the crazy casual charge counter decks just got a little stronger now that they have a kill spell that synergizes with the decks theme. Not bad.

At the very least it's a permanent Disfigure but proliferate gives this card a lot more potential, just needs to find the right deck where people can take advantage of proliferate ability
Decent card, nice art 3.5/5

That looks... Fatal.

A lot better than it's getting credit for. You'll end up killing a creature and you get to Proliferate for cheap.

Yes, yes, another proliferate for blu......

Wait...what?

What do you mean it proliferates for mono black?

AND it drops an infect counter?

AND it runs at instant speed?

um........thank you?

I like it. Good art, playable card.
I have good intentions of using this with Precursor golem to proliferate many times for one card.

Good card for Infect, or just to give a creature -2/-2 at the very least. Very nice artwork as well.

This is exactly what Instill Infection should have been.

I appreciate the tempo it has over a Contagion Clasp for the cost of only Black.

I do like this card, even if it is a tad overpriced. I feel like it could have been a staple at two mana.

At the prerelease, an unfortunately large number of people seemed to not understand that it proliferates its own counter! It gives two, people!

It's like Doom Blade for infectorate decks. It's irrelevant whether or not it's good; it's a staple to the decks it's used in.

This is incredibly solid. If a card proliferated for Black, it'd be an auto-include in just about any deck with black-mana and planeswalkers. If a card gave a creature a -1/-1 counter for 1 or Black, it'd decent as well--at least 3.5 or so. A card that does both and only charges 1 more for the premium of card advantage (two effects w/ one card) and built-in synergy is excellent, no matter how you slice it.

The flavor text pretty much sums up proliferate. Great card, I'd probably play it over Steady Progress.

Has potential with Chandra, the Firebrand's second ability. You'd essentially get a -4/-4 out of the play, while proliferating any other counters of your choice.

That guy's totally hardcore if he calls that a small wound.

One of my favorite proliferate spells. The built in synergy makes it a blast to play with and I never find myself unhappy to have it in my hand. Kill a pesky */2, give my opponent a poison counter and boost all my own planeswalkers.

Really should have had a Vulshok that looks more like Hero of Oxid Ridge just to poke fun at proliferating his sorry 2 toughness to death. haha

Each creature gets a -1/-1 counter, proliferate for each creature.
Great board wipe, gets indestructible creatures and ones with persist. If you have Undying yours come back. And if you have anything with a charge counter or they have a poison counter. Well God save their souls.

Guys with +1/+1 counters get:
-A permanent buff
-A relative giant growth combat trick, allowing a Rakdos Cackler can eat a leatherback baloth without dying, for example, while becoming a permanent 3/3, all without your opponent being able to see it coming beforehand. (note: this would also work on a 4/5 tarmogoyf, making this discussion relevant in a modern deck)

It's great with unleash or undying (either get rid of the counter for another round of your creature or add a counter to it to make it larger.)

Also notice that it can remove 2 +1/+1 counters as it has to resolve before state-based actions are checked, making it the only card that can proliferate -1/-1 counters on a creature with +1/+1 counters; which is an amazing thing to have.
